Some good news, all of Seven’s film reports from the Adelaide newsroom have now been digitized - the Adelaide flashback segment marked the occasion with a behind the scenes look at the process in the “7 Lab” in Brisbane (where the networks archives are). Should be noted that most, if not, all of these are likely to be from when SAS7 was SAS10.

He’s done lots of great crosses like this, and even read the weather once using John Farnham song titles. 7 needs to make a local weather promo featuring Tony and his innovative approach.

The 2min 1pm update Seven News With Alex Cullen has been taken out of the schedule from next Monday.

The 1pm update indeed did not follow the noon news today. Alex did appear with sport on that bulletin. After a sport promo it was straight into game shows.

Agreed. Tarsh Belling was much more valuable given she did one bulletin (the entirety of it) compared to the nothingness that Alex does at present. They should’ve kept her.

Reviewing scripts, producing the rundown of the stories and order of them, assisting with the production of reports ie deciding what should be kept in the report etc. Following up on stories using connections. This just comes to the top of my head there are numerous other things they would be doing. The point is just because you see someone present for 30 minutes a day doesn’t mean that is the extent of their role.
