Not surprised - from the description of the bulletin it sounded similar to the original format for The Latest, so I guess some of the staff that worked on that are now working on the new bulletin.

I’m loving the new transition graphics but the bug with the white background looks out of place.

I wonder if they will use these graphics on the afternoon bulletin, and replace the “national” with “Sydney” on the bug ETC

One thing i’m really not a fan of, is how void of colour it seems sometimes with it being too red & white.

It’s very much “The Latest” in light mode.

Also, did anyone just catch the bug changing into a promo for the 6PM News?

Are we expecting these updates to be incorporated into the Afternoon and 6PM bulletins?

Also, probably no surprises here, but Adelaide is getting the national program.

Not a fan of the discussion segment in the second half. Also, way too much Entertainment News and The Social media segment is terrible.

Very much dumbing down the news.

They would be appealing to females/stay at home mothers at this timeslot, hence that content.

Also, trying to attract a younger audience.

It has a very Nine Now Afternoon News feel. The bulletin does seem very drawn out. I actually prefer the Morning News bulletin now.

The entertainment segment was okay, it went for too long though.

The social media opinion segment is nice, it would be good if it wasn’t just TikTok.

Nice to see Adelaide is doing the weather, similar to how the Adelaide presenters often did the weather every now and then for a few years on the morning news

What’s with the poor audio sound in the weather broadcast?

I think I would have switched off when the group chat started. It signalled an end to any more news being shown.

NNN headlines.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch half the bulletin (the portion which seemed to be pointless); how would you guys compare this to 10’s Lunchtime offering?

Some elements from the beginning are good. But after 12.15 (for me) it goes down hill. The bulletin becomes too drawn out with long entertainment segments, discussions and interviews. It seems very padded out.

There clearly needs to be more focus on the news. And the pace needs to move faster.

Having two people chat at the desk about topics of the day is too similar to Sunrise IMO and doesn’t add anything much to the stories.

I prefer more in depth interviews with experts on subjects like you see on 10’s bulletin.
