Seems the sydney set still has some residual audio issues. Weather girl, as well as “The Latest” anchor keep getting cut off

Always during the wide shot to the break is when the audio cuts off. Also same during the weather wide shot at 6pm. It is only night two though!

Fantastic set though. According to the Daily Mail, CEO of Seven west media James Warbuton has said ALL Sevens studios and sets will eventually be moving to eveleigh. That includes Sunrise, The Morning Show, Seven News + The Latest.
So we should all be on the lookout for a new Sunrise set soon, I’m sure they’ll make it look really remarkable with all this new space

Welcome back after a year @Snowbear!

Yes, that is correct. 7NEWS and The Latest were the first to transition from Martin Place to Eveleigh yesterday, with Sunrise as well as The Morning Show due to relocate by the end of July, which will share a seperate purpose-built set.

The reveal should be just around the corner then!

No doubt they’ll continue to use parts of the 7NEWS set as well. Just think of the possibilities for the weather wall and the vertical screen… :hushed:

IIRC someone grabbed a photo of them testing Sunrise elements in the 7NEWS studio?

I feel there’s a lot of potential that can be utilised with the portrait monitor for standing shots, the large screens, and the desk graphic. Will be exciting to see how it evolves, and its usage during big news events, such as Elections and the upcoming Referendum for example.

Yes, that was me as well as @MBB

I feel the Sunrise/The Morning Show’s set may be quite similar since those potentially test graphics conform to the shape of the large screens.

BBC are a great example of the verticale screen. Hope seven properly utilize it

No, Sportsworld was replacement for actual sport coverage.

The lack of regular sport during the winter (rugby union aside) was a key factor in Seven’s struggles between 2002-06, as well as some questionable scheduling of programs (such as moving The Mole from its Wednesday 7:30 timeslot to the Sunday 6:30pm timeslot and BH&G from Tue 7:30pm to Sat 6:30pm) and the ill-fated revival of Popstars among others.

The replacement program was Sportswatch, whereas Sportsworld was the Sunday morning show. Originally it aired only in Sydney, by became national when World of Sport in Melbourne ceased.

You’ll probably find the styling team are taking it into account more now given the space.
