Maybe their recording didn’t make it to the end of the match, considering the near-record-breaking end time?
AIUI broadcast newsrooms have digital loggers recording other networks, sports and others. Guessing the logger might have died during that time (it happens).
Not sure if it’s an intern or a new system they are using to post videos to Facebook, but the quality of the videos on the 7News Melbourne page are awful. It’s like a 240p video.
Not a great look for a digital age
Must be your internet connection because those videos look like a pretty decent 480p video
They look pretty pixelated on my connection too.
That was an awesome weather forecast compared to what we get in Sydney – on both seven and nine.
All others uploaded are HD though. Just seems odd these ones aren’t?
When 7 are doing their daily news promos on Saturdays and Sundays they need to put “Today at 5. Tonight at 6” on their strap rather than just “Tonight at 6.”
Keep it consistent with “First at 4. Nightly at 6” during the week.
What an awful shape
How to destroy a set in one move.
That is hideous.
Way too big for the space too. Wow.
Yeah it’s awful. There was nothing wrong with the old desk.
If anything they could have even just had a podium to present the sport from.
With them reusing the screen from the old desk in the middle is now evident based on the burn out compared to the other two new ones.
What a way to destroy the set and now cramp the space. So much that they have to lock off the wide shot with no movement…
Still looks way better then the Sydney/Queensland set on 10.
Yuck. Old one is 100% better IMO
They shrunk the set
Lol as if. That’s one of the best sets on Australian television right now.
The desk looks like a banana. I really envy Melbourne/Adelaide for having a decent sized set. Plus, 7 has had way worse set designs, just take a look at Perth’s.
jesus, why does Seven need the ugliest desks for their sets?
Each to their own I guess.
The desk would be fine if it didn’t have that extra section (where Sally sits) tacked onto it. The part with two screens where the main presenters sit is decent enough.
Also just noticed that Steve and Amanda have switched spots on the desk.
