Odd that The Latest isnt on any of the multis in Brisbane.

It’s just after 8pm here in Sydney, and The Latest is still on. What time is it scheduled to finish? Even though they haven’t updated the EPG (still has The Lego Movie 2 listed since 7pm). Or will it be “rolling coverage” for some time… and no hurry to end it?

They said they will show the UK gun salute which starts at 9pm our time and will run for 40 minutes.

So I’d guess they will be on air until at least 10pm.

How did Adelaide’s news work? Did they reset at 6?

They basically ran the 5.30 PM news as the afternoon news format straight to the opener and no headlines, and then passed to the 6 PM news with Mike and Rosanna introducing headlines.

Was it two hosts for the 5:30 half hour? Did they go to The Latest at 6:30?

Elspeth Hussey presented the special 5.30 PM bulletin, and Mike and Rosanna presented the 6 PM news which ran until around 6.50 PM.

That’s been used in the past before.

Oh, didn’t realise. I was wondering, it does seem quite pointless. As in, they might as well use a regular live graphic instead.

Rather significant blooper in Perth tonight. While attempting to cross to Tim Lester, a technical glitch occured that resembled a old film camera reel with the image moving up and down very fast:

It was resolved when they attempted to cross again:

Live feed was probably using the wrong frame rate and not frame synced properly. I see that at work when I have mismatched formats between equipment.

Edit: ah, yes Montecito is in California. Definitely a frame rate issue.

Unfortunate copy and paste error when intro’ing a story on the Brisbane news last night. “Our premier” Gladys Berejiklin attended a church service for Prince Philip with the Prime Minister in “our state” of NSW.
