Brisbane is getting the Sydney based 4pm news.
Agree, this is way too early to move into summer mode.
Clearly trying to cut costs.
Oh well, just another shit decision made by the Anthony De Ceglie.
Yeah Adelaide’s 4pm has been cancelled. Channel seven going down the drain.
Digital television dying lol.
It’s summer mode. I doubt this bulletin has been completely axed.
Agree - they did that before, then quickly reintroduced it within months after some backlash
I don’t watch the 6pm bulletin that often, but i am tonight that Angie had just read three stories in a row, and it was a full package so it’s not like they didn’t haven’t time to move the camera or ETC.
Is this normal?
Finance segment with Amelia Brace airing tonight using the Sydney set. I hadn’t seen it before tonight.
Is that from the presentation area on the Sunrise set?
Not just the Sydney set but the Sunrise set. I don’t think I’ve seen news use that side of the new studio before.
Why? It literally is summer, and the formal ratings season ended on Saturday. Not entirely unusual to have things wind down once the ratings season ends. It could well be back in January as the new season ramps up.
Perth was local at 4pm with Sam Jolly
Did Perth still get a local morning news bulletin?
Just checked 7plus and there was no local morning news, just local 4pm
But usually it wouldn’t be so early in December.
I don’t think just Adelaide 4pm is axed, if they’re going to they’d axe all local 4pms. But I reckon safe to say 11.30 is gone and will be replaced by the network Midday bulletin next year.
Especially since it’s off air during summer at all - usually the Adelaide bulletins (since 2020) have been on air all summer bar a few days here and there if a cricket test finishes early.
Understand, but most viewer news habits don’t change for at least another two weeks. School and the main workforce are still fully operational up until 20th December.
I would say this will be a two month checkout for local news. I can’t see local afternoon editions returning until very late January.
I just think it’s a bit early in the season to install a national edition in the afternoon.
Well, from a ratings perspective, it is now non-ratings period so I can understand the thought behind national daytime bulletins.
It was also a “national” bulletin this morning for Perth.
I doubt they will receive an afternoon one as well.
