Adelaide also went straight to news.
They won so makes sense to show more of the celebrations in Brisbane while in Melb & other markets it makes sense to quickly go to the news

That yellowing strip above the videowall is getting worse. Needs to be replaced, looks shocking.

Or they could replace the whole set with something that isn’t just a bunch of parts of the old Sydney set thrown into the core of the 2014 set.
While Adelaide still have a better set than some other markets, it’s clearly turning into the next 2012 Brisbane set with ageing elements.
But we will probably end up with something like the Melbourne set as our replacement once they move into their new facilities.

Adelaide has a pretty bad set, made worse by the white-on-white Seven News logo on the small screen and the still nighttime backdrop. It also looks like the tacky add-on of one of those glass panels behind the presenter has no lighting anymore (Did it die?). Nine has a much better set in comparison to that market.

Most likely - don’t be surprised if more stuff starts failing on air - the lighting is clearly on it’s last legs given how dark it looks, when compared to this.

You’ll be happy to know that Adelaide was able to fit in the horoscopes 
Along with their Selling SA segment - which always seems to be for a house which literally no one who watches Seven could afford.
I honestly don’t mind the current set - just some elements need to be refreshed.
Don’t like that tacked on screen from Sydney on the LHS though - preferred it when they had an open view of the newsroom.
Definitely doesn’t beat Nine Adelaide’s though.

Except Nine Adelaide doesn’t have the same amount of local news as Seven.
Wow, the difference is truly shocking, honestly can’t believe the news director would let their set become so worn down (money or don’t they care?), the first picture looks great and while wouldn’t fit now (the blue would probably have been replaced with white or red), definitely looks better utilised then compared to now.
Does Adelaide even use more than one camera shot? I recall they used to never do wide shots until a few years ago and then stopped when that small desk came

They started again when they got their current desk - they also have another shot when they use the small screen for live crosses and in studio reports, and another shot when they do sports preview with Soda on weeknights (sits on the RHS of the set).
Plus they still do sport standing up on the RHS of the background video wall.
Adelaide didn’t cover tonight’s game until the sports segment.
Melbourne covered the game twice - live from the MCG to open with a cross to Geelong and later in sport
Sydney a minimal reporting from tonight but reported on the Swans twice.
Brisbane had a full match report in sport in addition to the opener that had multiple live crosses.

They have butchered the Adelaide set, ever since the twisted metal days.
It’s truly an eyesore. They got twisted metal so right, but in pretty much all markets, after that they got it all wrong.
I can’t even look at that block like set they had last decade.
