Just a stylistic decision I guess. I’m not a fan of endless wrap-around screens personally so prefer something like this (but not in the way it’s executed in Brisbane…)
also seems odd that the design is all those angular lines but then there’s this square patch in between.
6:57 started at 6:55 in Brisbane tonight
Hasn’t started at 6:57 in Adelaide at all, because the news ends at around 6:57pm (to allow for a brief Better Homes and Gardens preview for 7TWO before going to AFL).
And Robert Irwin who is 10’s latest poster boy.
Not just Seven. News corp too: https://www.news.com.au/sport/olympics/very-upset-487-athletes-dead-in-devastating-revelation/news-story/286e989b3da32d67be7746895f8e188c
Its about the Ukrainian team.
It’s really tasteless and tacky though.
The headline reads as if there’s been some kind of mass tragedy at the games.
It’s clickbait, and in being so it disrespects the story itself.
Welcome to the 7news website. Delivering clickbait headlines and garbage content for the better part of 3 years. The proof is in their terrible time on site figures in Ipsos.
Agree. 7 News Facebook, as well as Sunrise, has become clickbait too.
When did Seven News start showing horoscope on weekends? Just saw one on the Melbourne bulletin tonight. I thought it was only limited to weeknights?
Was on tonight in Brisbane too.
Also, when did they start doing random movie reviews? Because apparently that’s news now…
I saw the “coming up on Seven News: Deadpool vs Wolverine movie review”. I switched over after that! I thought that was odd.
A sketch, horoscopes and now a movie review? What’s going on? Seriously. I give their direction one star
Absolute trash of a news brand now.
I hope this Anthony bloke is pleased with himself.
What about in Sydney? We got Bridezilla last night! I can’t believe this anchors are forced to read “here’s a story you won’t want to miss tomorrow night” and then these ridiculous promos roll. How embarrassing.
Who?
