Seven News Content and Appearance (2015-2020)

Probably enhancement but the sunset was very pink in Sydney last night. Different cameras show different colours and light differently.

New look 7 Melbourne Afternoon News opener this afternoon.
It showed Jacqui reading the headlines standing from the screen, and then the titlecard played.

Standing opener to start the Afternoon News in Melbourne today.

And this shot going into the second ad break.

All these changes are really unnecessary. What’s the point? 7News @ 4pm makes it seem like it’s from Adelaide. And that horrid backdrop…

Is Melbourne’s set part green screen?

And that “@” is so tacky and unnecessary.

To all other states: Use this.

Found this Afternoon News Intro from 2017, seems better than what we are looking at now?

Not much originality there. Looks very similar to what Nine’s Melbourne afternoon news is doing.

The @ bit is bizarre. Why not just afternoon news?

So is it “@4PM
or “at 4:00PM”

Stupid.

Some backwards steps in Seven News presentation of late, and it wasn’t even that good to start with. Don’t like the look of that.

The use of the ‘@‘ symbol is a nice throwback to when Seven News was watchable.

I like the new intro - just not the ‘@’

Here it is

God they really screwed up this set when they moved the desk. It all just looks out of place now.

It’s a carbon copy of how Sydney does breaking news.

Much better than the big scrolling text behind the reader.

Hey are they trying to tell us that there’s breaking news?

Does this animate? I don’t get why they dropped the live shot that faced the southern direction of the river? It used to look great.

Live shot remains. It’s just for the opener and play offs.
