Today’s Herald Sun reports rumours that Simon Pristel will quit as Seven’s Melbourne news director to start his own PR company, focused on helping those in need to boost their reputations.
His appointment a few years back was controversial. A lot of talent left under his watch.
There was rumor a few weeks back, that he was leaving. Wonder who’s taking over.
Obviously there are some exceptions to the rule but whenever someone leaves a high profile position, the 2nd in-line usually gets a promotion.
So with that in mind I’d be willing to predict that the person most likely to succeed Simon Pristel is the current Deputy Director of News at Seven Melbourne, Jamie Aldridge.
hilarious… his first clients should be every anchor and reporter at Seven Melbourne.
A lot of people are finishing up at Seven it seems, Michael Scanlan reporter - has now also left. Looks like they are doing a turnover in the newsroom.
told you
Do we know where Michael is going?
Can someone please post video or a montage of 7 News Perth tonight, including opener and closer? I expect it will be something pretty special given the West Coast Eagles pulling off one of the greatest Grand Final wins in the history of the AFL.
Yeah good question - gun reporter Scanlan where’s he off too???
What the fuck was that Perth voice over
And we thought the ones a few days ago were long!
HAHAHAHA oh man that was brilliant
Who actually thought that VO was acceptable?
geezus…That was horrible! " This is Seven News with Angela Tsun in Perth and Rick Ardon reporting on the grand final Live from Melbourne on what’s a historic day for the west coast eagles."
That’s dreadful. Where’s the word economy at?!
Let me guess, the voiceover used for the Opener of tonight’s Seven News Perth was sped up to a level usually reserved for the disclaimers at the end of government/political advertisements?
Also if the West Coast Eagles lost the AFL Grand Final, would this have been the VO?
Fred Botica: “This is Seven News with Angela Tsun in Perth and Rick Ardon in Melbourne reporting on a tragic day for the West Coast Eagles”
They might as well have the whole bulletin as a voiceover
'…using the resources of Seven West Coast Eagles Media"
Knowing Perth, you can put a lyric from Toto’s Africa as the VO script and the bulletin will still rate highly.
“This is Seven News Perth with Susannah Carr in the Studio, and Rick Ardon reporting live from the rains down in Africa.”
