David Brown does Morning/Afternoon News weather Monday-Thursday and Angie Asimus does Fridays.

Exactly. Every other bulletin in Australia does
Both Seven and Nineâs bulletins in QLD donât have tickers so I donât really know. What I was saying was if Seven Afternoon News Melbourne go to the trouble of modifying their ticker from the national one, why not make the weather on the ticker local too. To me, it makes sense.
Sydney gets (semi) national Afternoon News bulletins from both Seven and Nine.
As far as Iâm aware, Adelaide gets the semi-national edition of Sevenâs Afternoon News in itâs entirety while Perth gets only the first half before going to the local edition. Of course, full local editions for Queensland and Melbourne.
Iâm not sure what itâs like these days but when the local Melbourne/Queensland bulletins started a year ago there was suddenly a noticeable emphasis on Sydney/Adelaide news at the top of the national bulletin.
National in presentation but pretty local in content. Local news in Sydney has always seemed to have a more big-picture focus than in other cities anyway so I doubt the content would change much even if they did start marketing it as a local Sydney 4pm bulletin.
I was in Sydney for a whole week visiting family and was given the pleasure of watching Mark Ferguson present Seven News. Sydneyâs number 1 news and Sydneyâs number one presenter is most certainly Mark Ferguson. Sydney is making the switch. The numbers are a lot healthier for Seven News than they were a year ago. Good Work!
Georgie always does well on Friday/Saturdays nights. She was the clear winner against both Chris Bath and Melissa Doyle (I think Mark Ferguson when he was the weekend anchor but I am not sure about that) on Seven News along with fill-ins Chris Reason, Angie Asimus, Robert Ovadia. Yes, since Michael Usher âmade the switchâ Seven has been winning more Fridays but only usually at 6. As you would have also seen this week, Georgie has returned Nine News Sydney to a better lead against Seven News and Mark Ferguson since she has filled-in for Overton.
I will agree with that.
Poor form from 7 Melbourne tonight. Victoriaâs largest gold mine suspends operations with the likely loss of up to 150 jobs and not a mention. Not good enough.
Still better than their loops. I would recommend such a thing for the national bulletin too (Hopefully theyâre actually trying to capture a live shot of Perth so that at least it would make the crappy virtual set look better).
