Again, Seven calling one of their movies a “premiere”, when it’s not :expressionless:

Despite airing many times over the past 15 years, as part of their Disney deal.

Freaky Friday (2003).

Hope it flops.

Why?

It’s obviously because Ninja Warrior was a success for Nine, so Seven are trying their hands at it now.

Okay?

Oh and this hasn’t been happening like… Forever with TV shows!?

Hoped MKR would flop after “copying” MasterChef? Well it didn’t & Seven have had the last laugh for 7 years.

Just wait… Nine will come up with a new kids talent show for 2017

Yeah I’m not saying it hasn’t happened, but your right :stuck_out_tongue:

Saw a promo for Cosmetic Coffee during Seven News this evening. I did a quick Google search and found that it is a documentary about the workings of Sydney cosmetic surgeon Daniel Lanzer. It has been on air late night Sundays and Tuesdays since August.

I wouldn’t call it a documentary - it’s branded content.

this is potentially pretty significant news

20th Century Fox movie “One Fine Day” (1996) just premiered on 7flix.

Got a shock seeing the ‘fanfare’ on a Seven channel :open_mouth:

Wonder if this reflects anything regarding Ten’s deal with the studio?

Movies are not part of studio output deals.

Edit: How many Star Wars movies have been shown on Seven?

Likewise, Star Wars movies were being shown on Nine during the Prequel era. The rights have bounced around a bit.

Of course they are!

They come as a back catalogue.

Yes, output deals have changed the past few years.

Star Wars movies are distributed now by Disney, which Seven have had a long-time deal with (hence what occured in 2015)

I mentioned Star Wars because of the reference to the 20C fanfare being heard on Seven.

The first Star Wars movie was first seen on Australia TV on the 0-10 network in 1982 to huge ratings.

Yes, but as I alleuded to, this is actually incorrect.

Star Wars film distribution was already bought by Disney (hence Seven), before Seven premiered them in late 2015.

Note:
All digital copies for purchase have had the 20th Century Fox fanfare altered (i.e.) no fanfare now.

It’s rather interesting how the change went down between Disney, Fox & Lucasfilm.

British murder drama Little Boy Blue premieres next Monday (September 11) according to a promo shown this evening during Seven News.

MICHAEL HUTCHENCE – THE LAST ROCKSTAR

WORLD EXCLUSIVE COMING TO SEVEN

Channel Seven today announced its latest major in-house production, a world exclusive documentary event set to air ahead of the 20th anniversary of the death of Australian music legend Michael Hutchence.

“This is not Michael Hutchence defined by how he died but by how he lived: a brilliant musician, a brilliant man, a loving father, a true rockstar,” said Executive Producer Mark Llewellyn.

“This is not a biopic treading over old territory – this will make headlines around the world. New music, new revelations, and the most beautiful home video and insights from his closest friends and family; most of whom have never spoken publicly before.

“Michael left more questions than answers when he left us, and this documentary will provide those answers and much,
much more.”

Michael Hutchence – The Last Rockstar is the true story of Michael, the man – the loving father of Tiger Lily and one of the greatest performers the world has ever seen.

Following an extensive, two-year Seven News investigation spanning four continents and five countries, hidden bank vaults housing Michael’s prized treasures are unlocked; his diary is opened; his final lyrics, recorded but never released, can finally be played; and for the for the first time intensely private photographs and family videos, Michael’s haunting last message, hand-written in the hotel room where he died, and his secrets are finally revealed.

And Michael’s extraordinary new songs, penned and recorded by the INXS star before his death but never heard… until
now.

This is the final chapter to an extraordinary life, much of it told through incredible, never-before-seen private home videos recorded by Michael himself.

A tale of love and fame, creativity and crushing heartache, his family, girlfriends, lovers and closest friends, all reveal deeply personal memories about the Michael they love.
