On a Saturday night in some markets. Wonder how it will fare?

Also on Saturday on 7Mate in Melbourne and Adelaide.

It’s disappointing to see Port Adelaide v Collingwood won’t get a national main channel broadcast, given it will be 1st v 2nd and a potential Grand Final preview.

Just realised it against the Ashes. Just answered my own question.

Yippee. The filler-in program of “Border Security (endless repeats)” that aired at 7pm in some cities wont be airing. That’s one bonus of Britain’s Got Talent Final airing on that Saturday.

Yes weird programming, probably had to air it but couldn’t on Thursday due to FIFA Women’s World Cup (but surely another weeknight tiemslot somewhere would’ve been available - maybe they weren’t that pleased with how it’d been performing anyway on 7mate in Melbourne and Adelaide every week anyway due to AFL).

Also, can’t see this show doing much better than a movie re-run on a Saturday night, maybe worse, some might think it’s an encore presentation or something too. Probably impacts the 9:30pm FTA premiere too of Fox-Marvel’s X-Men spin-off The New Mutants.

John Farnham: Finding The Voice just advertised as coming to 7.

Great pick up, as it is currently the highest grossing documentary in Australian cinemas with over $3 million in the box office.

The biggest Australian documentary film of all-time is coming to Seven

The Seven Network is thrilled to announce the Australian television premiere of the box office smash hit, John Farnham: Finding The Voice, 7.30pm Monday, 24 July on Channel 7 and 7plus.

John Farnham: Finding The Voice celebrates Australia’s greatest singer and his journey from the suburbs of Melbourne to 1960s pop fame, through life’s highs and lows, ultimately to record-breaking success as “Australia’s Voice”.

This first authorised biopic features John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Jimmy Barnes, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Marx, Glenn Wheatley, Gaynor Wheatley, David Hirschfelder, James Farnham, Robert Farnham, Jill Farnham, Paul Dainty and more, as it tracks the personal and public journey that has made Farnham Australia’s greatest and most beloved musical artist, with 1986’s Whispering Jack still the highest-selling Australian album of all time.

Since its cinema release on 18 May, the critically acclaimed film has become the highest Australian grossing feature length documentary of all-time and the fourth biggest grossing feature length documentary in Australia ever.

Critics have described the powerful documentary as “must-see”, “enthralling”, and “inspiring”, a story with “laughter, tears, love and rock’n’roll” and a great tribute to Farnham’s “talent, tenacity and his gift for making and keeping friends”.

Do yourself a favour and don’t miss this emotional tribute to the extraordinary life of an Aussie pop icon – John Farnham: Finding The Voice, Monday, 24 July on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Sony Pictures Releasing International presents and Screen Australia presents, in association with Screen NSW, in association with VIC Screen, a Beyond Oz (a Banijay company) production in association with Blink TV – John Farnham: Finding The Voice – from Executive Producers Mikael Borglund, Martin Fabinyi and Paul Clarke, Director Poppy Stockell and Writers Poppy Stockell and Paul Clarke.

And the first Logies red carpet promo, featuring Dr Chris Brown and Sonia Kruger has just aired as well.

I recall Fiona Byrne announcing this a month or two back in her column, that Seven had got rights

That would tend to suggest that Million $ Island could finish on the following Tuesday.

7 must be aiming to try and win a week even though there’s still Ashes to play out, otherwise you’d think they’d hold off airing this until the cricket is over.

Will probably be the “biggest week of tv this year” with DWTS final on Sunday, JF on Monday and MDI final on Tuesday.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Pairing it with The Logies the following week could have been bigger.

DWTS seems to be where Seven are slotting all the new promos. Just spotted a new Voice teaser with show footage.

I was thinking Seven should show the John Farnham documentary on either August 6 or 13, rather than wasting a new episode of The Voice.

Bear in mind that Seven will air the FIFA Women’s World Cup final on Sunday night, August 20.

RE: Finding The Voice

Knoxy at TVT says: “this one will rate through the roof! I’d hate to be up against it on another network”. Rare for him to make a call like that, let alone make such comment.
