Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

You would think they would swap Wife Swap Australia and the UK factual?

Remembering that Wife Swap is from the 2019 upfronts and was held over from being shown for all of 2020. I think that and the timeslot give a good indication of what even Seven programmers think of the quality of this one.

Strange to air a new episode of Holey Moley at 11.30pm (It is not designated as “Rpt”).

Really unfortunate that the timeslot is seen as one of filler considering it is still a prime timeslot (8.30 Thursday).

What will go to air today in place of The Chase Australia? Or will they still show it?

Probably

They did yesterday so should still show it today.

I can’t see Seven ditching the episodes unless viewership plummets and there’s a major organised boycott of Seven advertisers.

if they still have new episodes in the can, they will air it - probably up until Easter (or whenever Quarter 1 in the schedule finishes). Wonder what will happen at 5pm on Seven in the near future though…

Yesterday’s show had the highest ratings since October last year though helped a lot by +100,000 in Perth at 5.30pm

The Bay returns with a killer case

Gripping new season premieres 8.30pm Wednesday, 10 February

Hit British crime drama The Bay is back with a gripping new season.

Season 2 finds DC Lisa Armstrong (Morven Christie) at a low ebb, dealing with the repercussions of her actions last year concealing evidence around the death of a teenager.

Forced to do menial police work, Lisa struggles following the orders of her previously lower ranking colleague, DC ‘Med’ Kharim (Taheen Modak), who continues to go from strength-to-strength.

A new case involving a shocking murder within a loving family brings Lisa unexpectedly back into the front line, where she has the opportunity to prove her worth - to her colleagues, to her family and to herself.

However, as the team try to uncover why the victim was targeted, Lisa and her children are stalked by a mysterious figure who has returned with an agenda.

Teasing the new season, writer Daragh Carville said: “Lisa is dealing with new challenges, both at work and at home. She’s trying to move on with her life, but the past has a nasty habit of coming back to haunt you, just at the wrong time.”

Earning comparisons to Broadchurch , The Bay proved a fast hit with UK viewers when it debuted in March 2019. The second season premiered on ITV last month, with critics describing it as a “…finely crafted detective thriller” ( The Times ) and “engrossing” ( i news ).

The first season was excellent, reminded me of Liar, which finally made its long-awaited return last year after its first season was also good, but S2 was disappointing (not helped by a near midnight timeslot after the flopped Between Two Worlds).

Due to Seven’s coverage of the Super Bowl from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Monday, The Morning Show, Seven Morning News, Midday Movie, what ever they’d air at 2pm, and The Chase UK are out of the schedule.
