I don’t know if it will work on commercial television in Australia but I can see the concept working on Pay TV. It certainly could be a format that could be sold overseas with many international editions.

I’d take a look if it wasn’t 90 minutes long. The duration is an instant turn off and is the reason I haven’t bothered with Australian Survivor this season. Gogglebox, Have You Been Paying Attention and the ABC’s entertainment line up are shows I watch on free to air because they don’t require that long time commitment. I wish the networks would wake up and stop inflicting these long, padded out formats on the audience.

Yeah the 90 minutes is putting me off as well. I will probably watch on catch up.
The program itself only runs for 64 minutes (ep 2 is just 60 mins) - the rest is adverts, promos and news updates 
This is one of the problems I find with Seven, they pack their 7.30 show with more adverts than the code average and show fewer ads later in the night. Most MKR episodes are also only just over 60 minutes long.

It gets even worse when you factor in the real run time of the show on the night. Currently it is 07:31:30 --> 09:04:52.

Ahh yes, what a bomb that was in 2015!
I’d imagine that Seven are currently scared that Plate Of Origin might perform similarly…

I visited the Sydney restaurant that was featured in Restaurant Revolution in July 2015 - a month before the show premiered.
Fair to say the food was modest at best. They ran out of some chips that I wanted to try.

By the time Seven airs another Modern Family Triple on March 12, we’ll be Already up to Date with the States.
Needs to go back to 7flix or wherever it was… it doesn’t rate any more

Because you said it needs to go to 7flix. These are new episodes on 7 and new episodes have always screened on the main channel first before being repeated on a multichannel.
There’s only half a season left so it’s no big deal to let finish it’s last season on 7.
Fair enough. I wouldn’t know, don’t watch it, but neither do most of the population. That was my point, put something on that people want to watch. The 200k or so who watch it can follow it to 7flix.
Anyway… I was calm. Not in a heightened state at all.
Let’s be honest, triple episodes of Modern Family at 9pm Thursdays is pretty much just filler content for Seven until the AFL season begins. Besides, is Nine’s pre-NRL season Thursday night lineup of RBT and movies really that much better?
I can think of far worse programming decisions (MKR: The Rivals, “Blocking up” House Rules, reviving Nine offcuts The Farmer Wants A Wife and Big Brother…) that Seven have made lately than burning off episodes of a concluding sitcom at 9pm Thursdays!
