Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

If Seven were tempted to move H&A from the 7pm slot, the most logical times would be 6:30pm and re-boot Today Tonight OR 5:30pm and develop a new game show for 7pm.

Also H&A should be encored on 7Two or 7Flix at 7pm to keep the 7pm loyalists happy. Although if I was a network executive, unless it started rating third in its current timeslot I would leave it be. Also an idea would be to keep it as half an hour episodes and run it all year round 4 nights a week from March to September (30 weeks) and then 5 nights per week for the rest of the year (22 weeks) - and perhaps only screen double episodes over Summer where Cricket disrupts the scheduled episodes usual time.

Completely agree. The triple episodes are a turn off. It needs to air consistently at either 7pm Monday-Thursday and for 60 minutes on Thursdays until 8pm. Or all year.

It needs to air at 7pm on Fridays again, and then have Better Homes & Gardens starting at 7:30pm.

I wonder if that’s why Seven did that on 7flix (strip TBBT most nights, but the multiple episodes later at night were always just repeats of those broadcast earlier in the evening)? 9Go! does the same now too.

Perhaps, but then maybe do double episodes on Thursdays in AFL states if you aired a blanket of 5 nights each week.

However. my logic of 4 episodes per week (during AFL season) comes down to reducing the need for multiple repeats of shows or finding filler shows - especially when it goes off for Christmas/New Year now. Also notice that except for when it conflicts with sport, A Current Affair (H&A’s main rival) runs over the whole year.

Maybe they think there are a lower number of households using television in December and January, and that by continuing new episodes, the viewers who don’t watch in summer will not return in late Jan. Because when they do, the program won’t be where it was when they tuned out.

Looking a bit further ahead, the fortnight commencing June 24 will be a bit disorganised for Seven, with the second State of Origin match taking place on that night, as well as the Logie Awards on July 1 and Thursday night AFL on consecutive weeks. After House Rules was soundly beaten by SOO in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this week, surely Seven will not risk screening the reveal episode against SOO on June 24? The next question will be whether House Rules will air against the Logies a week later? If the answer is no, then it means House Rules will be down to three nights on both weeks.

It could be Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, which debuts on Fox on Wed June 13 in the States.

So 7 has a deal for new Fox shows now?

possibly given it seems 7 are buddy-buddy with Foxtel (re cricket deal)

Haven’t they already been for at least 6 years now (longer if you include prior to Fox Footy’s re-birth) with the AFL? Particularly when it comes to broadcasting Foxtel produced games on Seven in non-VIC markets.

Market variations posted in schedule above.

TV listings show today’s midday movie on Seven is the 1988 film Beaches.

But in reality they’re showing the 2017 remake :scream:

The listing service is wrong in this case as the Melbourne guide from Seven says 2017. Is there much of a difference?

It’s terrible

So not much different then…?

Nah. Most remakes these days are truly awful.

I noticed that too :joy: I saw “Beaches” and thought what!? Today’s wasn’t even a proper movie, made for tele, had “A + E Networks” logo flash before the AFL pre game started.
