Executive Decision movie was released in 1996 not 1966.
Also there is no synopsis for the April 26 episode of MKR, which hints at the identity of the team being evicted from the show this week.

Typical Seven, flooding the weekend late night schedules with reality shows underperforming (after 1 episode!) to try and boost ratings / further promote.

Waste of air time IMO.

If they can build up a show through encore viewings, they can direct them into the first broadcast. Much more valuable to them than an old movie or something.

But it never works.

Never is quite a generalisation. It does work sometimes.

But if a show is a dog :dog: , then it’s a dog. :dog2:

Even if it works only once, it’s a better use of airtime than an old movie which is not going to be able to capitalised on.

Another Gold Coast Commonwealth Games highlights special. I assume this one will show gold medals won by other countries too?

:joy: Unlikely.

I thought it was to make up to advertisers for poor ratings the first time around?

The old movie or just about anything decent would rate better than an encore.

Seven may or may not show semi final 2 of MKR on this night. It wants to keep Ten guessing about the date of MKR grand final, so Ten cannot confidently schedule the season premiere of MasterChef.
If Seven shows MKR grand final on Monday, May 7, it means MC could premiere the following night (Tuesday May 8) but its first week schedule will have to be pushed back even further. It could force Ten to show a new episode on the Friday, May 11.

So this confirms that there are indeed going to be more MKR episodes this year than in most other recent years with 49 rather than 48. Will the second semi-final air on Thursday so the GF will be on Sunday, or will the GF be on the following Monday instead with the second semi-final on Sunday? We will have to wait and see. And so glad to see Karen, Guy & Liz’s names mentioned at last!! Been a long time coming this season.

Edit: It would appear that the former is scheduled for now going by the 2 hour TBA scheduled on Sunday 6 May in the further advanced guides.

It might also be worth noting that on Wednesday 9 May after what can be assumed to be House Rules at 8:45, Modern Family is scheduled and Back with The Ex has been pushed back to 9:45.

Well Done

It worked for the first season of House Rules

Saw a promo during the AFL in Melbourne this afternoon. It involves cast members having takes saying the same thing: Modern Family has a new home on Seven and 7plus.
