ACMA should be investigating Seven for false advertising then as they have been running promos all week saying the AFLW season would be live and in HD nationally except some parts of regional Qld.

I am assuing the switch over back to 7mate HD will happen before the main footy starts at the end of March. I like to be proven wrong. Have been enjoying 7HD.

I agree, we were supposed to have the woman’s footy in HD in Perth, but stuck on 7 HD atm. (hopefully permanetly?)

Well the thing is they advertised it being on 7.7HD/ (Melbourne/Adelaide) 7mate for (Perth, Sydney, Brisbane) during the week so it techincally should have changed 7HD to 7mateHD for the game. so it was kind of like false advertising.

Come Football season, definitely want to see the games in HD. No matter the cost.

Not for me… I wouldn’t swap 7HD for 7mate HD just to see AFL in HD - the FOX produced games are an upscale anyway.

I for one would vastly prefer to see not just Seven, but all FTA networks broadcasting their main channel in HD on a permanent basis.

Yes, there will always be some content of interest which can only be seen in SD but I can live with that. Until the day that all channels broadcast in HD, if any channel should have a fulltime HD simulcast it’s the main one.

Which is interesting as presumably it’s the same or close enough to the equipment used for the VFL coverage which was SD. Different trucks or just Seven not bothering to get a HD feed?

Never change 7HD to 7mateHD. Leave it as it is for now. The HD split last year was the worst thing since 9 dropping the dots.
