Seven Cricket Coverage

And 2 days before the second T20I. Good scheduling, I’d say.

Also, 7mate? I thought Seven wrote it’d be main-channel coverage (when possible)?

I think if it’s Sunday or Monday or Tuesday then 7 would prioritise their normal line up of Idol & US tv dramas. Any other day could be on main channel but I doubt it

Not only that but it will probably settle on 7mate too because that’ll be the situation comes the test period.

The test is 4.20pm-11.50pm AEDT on March 6-9, right at the AFL’s opening week. Of course Seven is never going to displace it, even if it’s a delayed telecast on Saturday.

Have I just been ignorant or “box office” is an actual stat now?

Later - this is 12 fours for the team but seemingly looks like partnership.

Rain interruption

Edit: India wins with no more play after 5.1 overs

:duck: animation present for the Women’s T20. So that probably means it will be shown on 7cricket for everything except Tests. Which makes sense since their :duck: animations are more cartoonish animations and wouldn’t match the themes of Test Cricket

Surely the point split can be described in a short, simple sentence rather than a whole table.

I would think it is relevant given its a multi-format points based series.

Cricket Australia today announced the dates for the two NRMA Insurance Tests in Darwin (13-17 August) and Mackay (22-26 August) that mark the beginning of the 2026-27 home international season.

I wonder who will be part of the 7cricket commentary for this series. All of their local callers would be busy with AFL & start of AFLW.

The only cricket caller for 7cricket (men’s & women’s) who’s not doing AFL is Jason Richardson. Maybe they ask Alison Mitchell to come back & get a caller for the Bangladesh pov instead of their typical expert commentator.

My guess is it will be Jason Richardson supported by Alister Nicholson and/or Jack Heverin. Possibly also Adam Collins who IIRC had some involvement in the Sri Lanka series because SEN were also broadcasting.

Between Nicholson and Heverin, maybe one of them will stay with AFL and the other will just focus on cricket for those two weekends.

I can’t see Alison making the effort to come over for an off-broadway series against a minor opponent such as this.

The issue is that Heverin calls a lot of AFL for MMM, so I can’t see him doing test cricket when he’s a main part of MMM Footy. Nicholson will also be a big part of 7AFL as it looks like he will call Friday & Sunday - but he could take a month off for commonwealth games + the test cricket.

Maybe Andy Maher does 7cricket instead of SEN AFL for those 2 weeks.

Smokey but maybe we may see Trent Copeland or Brad Hodge calling - they have done some for womens matches if I recall correctly. Would Seven be able to use any Triple M cricket callers that won’t be calling AFL or NRL?

Blewett, Copeland can pbp, don’t discount any MMM non-Fox talent too.

Noticed watching the cricket coverage tonight that while the graphic wipes for wickets and DRS reviews are using the generic Women’s International Series logo, the wipes for boundaries are using the Women’s Ashes Series logo. Seems like a weird oversight, especially since they appear pretty regularly.

It says Women’s International Series?

As I said, the DRS and wicket ones do, but the boundary wipes have the Ashes logo:

This was from the other night, but it still looks to be in use today.

Oops! And the Men’s too, so just haven’t been changed I think from the summer.
