I’d say this part of the new deal will just start now then.
Great news. Now can they call it BBL 23/24?
13 really means nothing to most…
Cricket Australia released the 2023/24 home international fixture tonight (yes, on a Sunday night). Seven will show the matches shown in the first three photos.
Seven’s coverage starts on Sunday October 1 when Australia host West Indies in the first women’s Twenty20, against the lead up matches of NRL grand final.
I have also seen some promos which have 7/7mate/7+ shown
So has there been any confirmation that Gilchrist will be part of the coverage for 7?
I wonder how many or how few mentions there will be of the Ashes. Assuming they take the world feed, are the 7 hosts going to acknowledge the Ashes or treat it like an elephant in the room?
I’m assuming James Brayshaw will be part of some sort of coverage? It was mentioned on Triple M Footy over the weekend that he will be covering the Australia v India test in June.
maybe seven are supplying commentators to the world feed?
Could be part of 7’s studio crew (maybe as host) for pre/post day analysis and any drinks, lunch & tea break analysis with 1-2 current 7 analyst like Copeland, Sthalekar, Fleming etc
The world feed commentary team hasn’t been announced yet
I think Foxtel kindly said “**** no”
Not directly part of the coverage, no.
That’s crisp.
7 should ideally have the option to propose commentators for the world feed as the rightsholder: sky, fox (and even Channel 9 in 2015), supersport have ‘lent’ their exclusively contracted commentators to ICC events in the past.
Obviously if the ICC wants to utilize commentators independent of that arrangement (such as Guha or Gilchrist), that’s their prerogative as well.
That 7 cricket promo is over the top… “everything in history has been leading to this” or words to that effect. Really?
I know we hear lots of stuff like “the biggest night of the year” etc on tv promos, but the cricket script is a big exaggeration.

The ICC World Test Championship Final
Wednesday, 7 June to Sunday 11 June
Live, free and exclusive on Seven and 7plus
The only place to see it all!
I hate that new voice over guy. Makes it sound so amateur.
Good to see most of the coverage is on the main channel. Nine should take note with their Ashes coverage.
Difference here being 5 days compared to 30. You can sacrifice a week knowing the Indian diaspora will watch given it’s exclusive, but not so much a month of nights.
