Seven Cricket Coverage

I though Fox uses Virtual Eye?

Also that probably mean 7 uses Hawkeye while Fox uses Virtual Eye for all their analysis and DRS

In Queensland Sunrise finished before 9am. With a schedule media conference at 9am, Cricket was shown on the main channel for 45 seconds before switching to the conference. Cricket then went to 7Two. The conference was cut off after 7 minutes and the cricket was back on the main channel.

But the cricket also continues on 7two now until 10.30. Weekend Sunrise could’ve reminded on the main channel until 10am, or been shown live until 9am, then the press conference then the cricket.
7 advertised the cricket for 9.30am AEDT (8.30 Qld time) on 7mate immediately before it came on the main channel at 9am. A mess again.

At 9am on the main channel in Brisbane they showed an ad for the test starting at 9.30AEDT on 7mate (it had already been on for half an hour), before switching to the test live, then about 30 seconds later they switched to the Qld premiers press conference. Cricket remained on 7two.
Edit: apologies for what looks like a repeated post. Accidentally posted in the wrong spot then it was merged to here…

Is it just me or has the camera work been no where near the ball, all over the shop this test match?

Yep, that’s what I mentioned the other day.

Is this happening with Fox as well? Doesn’t both have the same video when the ball is being delivered

Cricket continuing to last ball on main channel in Sydney and Melbourne with news delayed. Same in Brisbane where The Chase is delayed.

It also started on 7Mate at 6pm AEDT.

I think something 7 needed towards the end of play was “Overs Remaining” since the Runs needed for India or Wickets for Australia could be deducted from the score.

There was “overs remaining” at the bottom of the screen for at least the last hour of play. It was updated ball by ball.

It will be interesting to see if Melbourne-based commentators like James Brayshaw and Damien Fleming will follow the crew to Brisbane for the fourth and final test, knowing they will have to apply for a permit from Service Victoria to return home.

And if they apply for one now, they should receive one in time

Responding in here so that the ratings thread doesn’t get clogged

Think the reason why Ten were able to fully commit to their BBL coverage was because it was it’s sole focus when it came to cricket. By contrast, the BBL seems to be an ‘afterthought’ for both Seven and Fox ahead of the other formats. It’s evident by how both networks are not only calling pretty much every game off-tube this season but tend to rely heavily on their ‘secondary’ commentators/pundits for their coverage.

Hand forced in many ways, though with the border uncertainties.
