Seven Cricket Coverage

Partially yes. They should’ve told CA and Fox to stuff themselves when they realised there was no FTA exclusivity.

CA should cop the blame too for not offering exclusive options by buying into Fox for their money. Their conduct had been despicable throughout this and they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Seven would’ve gladly taken an exclusive offer but there was none and CA weren’t willing to bulge. Such a pathetic sporting organisation.

That was hilarious spin from CA too, on both Seven and Fox Sports average for the season opener being “up on last series average”, got to find positives somewhere I guess

Seven could have had FTA exclusivity. Pay the $1 billion that CA wanted.

But it’s not worth that. And now despite CA they won’t end up getting that over 6 years now. So they’ve actually fucked themselves up as well.

Why does it have to be everything CA wants? They’re not the centre of the universe. They were a filthy organisation who was greedy for cash in exchange for the longevity of the game itself.

Seven didn’t have to the $82 million per year. They’re the filthy organisation trying to get out of a contract they signed.

It ain’t cheap running cricket. CA are now running a fully fledged professional women’s competition that will not pay its way for a long time.

Easy to see why they took subscription path just the like the footy codes and no one begrudges them. We still have far and away more cricket on FTA than many other tier A cricket playing countries.

No, that’s India. CA have to fall to whatever the BCCI wants.

Seven were dumb enough not to realise this.

As if Seven were ever going to pay that for a summer (highest rating of which is in day time) sport.

They tried to pay as little as possible when they had the top rating tennis, as revealed in controversial court proceedings last year, lead by Stokes’ long-time right hand man Bruce McWilliam in internal emails to TA board members/executives.

Did Seven use the ‘Indian Feed’ last night (ie with Hero ads on the field, rather than KFC)? Just saw a clip on Weekend Sunrise and it surprised me. (I’ve been watching Fox Cricket).

No, Seven used the local feed with ads for KFC and Liberty Financial (major sponsor of Melbourne Renegades).

Yeah, I thought so, but I saw clips with Dream 11 and Hero on the field with the 7Sport watermark.

After tonight’s game, anyone want a guess what management at seven will say about it?

Wow a shocking game!

And telecast ended half an hour early, NPC Media updated EPG to BORDER SECURITY: AUSTRALIA’S FRONT LINE (in capitals) 10:29pm - 11pm.

Scheduled 11pm movie “The Town” still showing next.

And Seven lost the ratings big to Nine last night too, wow.

This year’s Big Bash League is very underwhelming, ratings-wise.

But the cricket and Delta/Love Actually were on par.

I think 7 are doing better than 9 for the test cricket! They are refreshing and also have more variety than 9. I do how ever HATE their graphics for BBL. Especially the Brisbane Heat blue. That’s just too light and bright. Hopefully they get some new graphics for next season if they fix their feud with CA
