The sooner they get rid of Richo the better… he is SO ANNOYING!!

Also, great to see Jess Duffin in the commentary box!

Is she playing this season? If not, she’s not a bad get for their WBBL and AFLW coverage.

She isn’t playing due to her lack of fitness post pregnancy.

I agree with you but doubt she’d go up to Sydney considering she’s got a little girl to look after!

They will be calling from Melbourne.

Jess Duffin gave birth to a girl named Georgia in June, her first child.

No, they said during the coverage that they are going up to Sydney to join the hub. Quarantine begins tomorrow

I assume Andy Maher won’t join the rest of the WBBL commentary team given he still co-hosts The Front Bar and drive show on SEN.

With Jason Richardson having Racing commitments too.

According to the Nine newspapers, ‘industry sources’ are suggesting Seven wants a 40%+ discount (which is frankly ridiculous IMO)

Yeah it does seem like too much. It’s clear from this that Seven wants to get out of this deal and if they can’t, they’re going to make life hard for Cricket Australia.

Really hope that happens!!

Hmm. The word reduced is concerning. Reduced revenue, reduced coverage - neither are a good outcome for cricket.

Maybe SEN should buy a TV station.

I honestly couldn’t believe what Channel Seven and Cricket Australia stand off haven’t been resolved. Last month, the Seven Network have written a letter to the Cricket Australia claiming that it has became a game of ‘brinkmanship’. this is absolutely concerning for not just Cricket Australia, but Channel SEven. This sort of behavior from Channel Seven and Cricket Australia is simply dreadful. Channel Seven has simply downgraded its coverage with BBL series, and also Women’s Cricket as well as Men’s Cricket. With limited cricket coverage on Channel Seven, their audience ratings have dropped because of the simulcast with Fox Cricket. People want exclusive coverage of the cricket, rather than a simulcast. This broadcasting cricket deal was a disaster. Look at Channel Seven’s stocks. SWM are sitting on 14c as of today. Channel 7 has overpaid the rights for the coverage.
Channel 7 need to use it or lose it. Channel 7’s treatment of their cricket coverage is simply unacceptable. You don’t treat cricket broadcast like this.

Well to be fair to Seven it hasn’t been the biggest return for the network…
