Today’s Hawthorn v Adelaide is delayed in Sa, starting 4pm local, also edited into 2hrs for 6pm news. Then they’ll get the Geelong v Richmond game in prime time afterwards live, starting on 7mate.
While tomorrow, Melbourne v Fremantle is delayed in Wa, starting 2pm local (instead of 11am live).
According to the guides, NSW & QLD will get the Big Freeze on the main channel between 2pm and 3pm, then the match will be shown on 7Mate while The Chase UK, Afternoon News and The Chase Australia is shown on Seven.
The 7th slider for Big Freeze 10 is recently retired Australian women’s cricket captain Meg Lanning, Tom Gleisner exclusively revealed on Have You Been Paying Attention? tonight where Meg was a guest quizmaster.

7 ran a promo with ‘will Dusty fire up for his 300th’ or something similar and had him in the cover at the end of the promo when I think it’s already been confirmed that he won’t be playing.
Surely 7 had enough time to change that part of their promo.
I did like the change to saying ‘Live and Freeze’ to stick with the Big Freeze theme
Inaccurate advertising and inappropriate promos in Qld for this weekend’s games… it’s talking about Kings birthday Monday. That’s not until 7 October in Qld!
At first I wondered why they were advertising a round that’s probably after the season ends?!
Qld needed a separate promo this weekend.
It’s still what the match is called - obviously the more realistic scenario is that the people in Melbourne putting the AFL promo together either didn’t bother to make another one for NRL centric QLD, or didn’t realise/check that there was a different date for the King’s Birthday holiday.
Pretty sure the AFL itself refers to the Bombers vs Blues clash as the Kings Birthday Eve match & Pies vs Dees is now called the Big Freeze at the G but used to be the Queen’s Birthday clash.
I don’t see anything wrong with that since it’s what the AFL calls these games.
Did 7 produce the video of Bec and Neale announcing the sliders? Because even for the Fox footy announcement of Jack they had 7’s graphics under Bec and Neale
