Since the Good Friday Appeal will stream live on 7plus nationally, will there be a blackout on that live stream on 7plus in WA from 1pm to 5pm local time (when the evening session of GFA starts), as WA viewers will get West Coast v Essendon from 4pm local time instead?
There shouldnât be a âblackoutâ since viewers must actively set their 7plus app preferences to access the HSV stream instead of TVWâs. Similar to WAâs Telethon, the GFA can be streamed elsewhere, and if a viewer chooses to stream it, theyâll access the corresponding networkâs streamâcomplete with its programming line up and advertising.
Why would they do that? Itâs not like it would take many viewers away from the footy.
I think @JohnsonTV is referring to the separate GFA stream on 7plus that they have for interstate viewers to watch the appeal.
Because Seven are not airing the game on FTA in WA, meaning they canât air it on 7Plus.
The guide for the stream on 7Plus indicates there will be a pause between 3pm-6:45pm, when the AFL is on.
The EPG on 7mate in Ntb NSW has todayâs NM v CAR game listed as AFL 2 whereas Sydney just has AFL as the program name. Odd
It will be really interesting to see who calls the Grand Final for Seven this year.
Whilst Fox have a clear âA-Teamâ in Huddo and Whateley, itâs not as clear at Seven.
Will they go with the Thursday team of BT and Hamish? Or the Friday team with JB and Al?
Or could BT and JB be reunited for the big game?
It will be BT and JB. They will pair up in lead up to the finals.
A rare commentary combo this afternoon. Itâs Bennett & Nicholson commentating together.
I thought they would have done what happened last week with Bennett & Hamish doing the afternoon match & Nicholson & BT doing the night match.
Iâm going to predict that Hamish & BT doing the night game with maybe BT & JB doing Monday afternoon?
Always nice to hear Daisy on 7âafl coverage.
Obviously we in Perth get Daisy on Perths AFL coverage.
JB is doing Triple M tomorrow, so my guess is tomorrow will be BT and Hamish or Alister.
Hamish tonight. I assume with Brayshaw. Tomorrow will probably be BT & Nicholson (his 3rd match). If they use Bennett then each caller could have done 2 matches this round.
Coverage was simulcast on 7mate at 7pm in Melbourne, looks like playout was waiting for an ad break, then a âchannel changeâ message appeared (full screen and V/O and a new one too - couldnât cap as 7Plus prohibits). @TV.Cynic
LCN 74 now running 13min behind.
7mate was until 7pm airing a post game/pre game show during news, so technically 7AFL hadnât had a break since 2:30pm or really midday if you include The Sunday Feast.
7 News ran overtime until 7.05pm, when Hamish welcomed Victorian viewers to the telecast.
Itâs Hamish & BT tonight. I wonder whoâs going tmr then. If itâs BT & Nicholson then they would have done 3 matches.
7 could of given everyone 2 matches each if they planned properly
saw on reddit that someone made a video with the goal animations of each team

How can 7plus prohibit you from recording a simple channel change notice? Were you using an Apple device to try and record? Or is this a permanent fix going forward? Are Seven starting to lock down their streams as such?
Because 7Plus blocks you from recording anything as an anti-piracy measure.
You always used to be able to, it might just be certain programming or sport telecasts
Can you still take screen shots?
