I wonder how the player interviews on field will work with 2 broadcasters.

7 conducting interviews as normal on the field during half and full time with maybe Fox doing the same OR Fox doing interviews off the field outside the boundary but at the same time :man_shrugging:.

Maybe Fox takes the 7 interviews with both broadcasters using generic AFL Mic?

Wouldn’t be surprised, radio already takes these interviews.

Full Sweat: Exclusive access into Hawthorn’s 2025 pre-season

Behind-the-scenes documentary, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport on 5 March

In an exciting first for the Seven Network and the Hawthorn Football Club, Full Sweat – a 90-minute documentary produced by Seven and showcasing exclusive pre-season action at Hawthorn Football Club – is set to premiere live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport at 9.30pm on Wednesday, 5 March, following The Front Bar.

Footy fans across Australia will be given access to see what really goes on during pre-training camp in the lead up to the 2025 AFL season, as Hawks coach Sam Mitchell and the leadership team guide players on a journey through blood, sweat and tears to reach elite performance as they chase the holy grail: AFL Premiership glory.

Seven Network Director of Sport, Chris Jones, said Full Sweat is fly on the wall filming that has captured extraordinary behind-the-scenes action at Hawthorn Football Club in the lead up to the 2025 season.

Full Sweat is compelling viewing with exclusive and never seen before footage captured at the Hawthorn Football Club, which I’m sure footy fans across Australia will find fascinating on Wednesday night.

Full Sweat captures the hard-core dedication and professionalism of the Hawthorn team during an intense pre-season training program as they aim for Premiership glory since their three-peat victory from 2013 to 2015,” he said.

“We’d like to thank Hawthorn for throwing the doors open and giving football fans an exciting and frank look at what truly goes on in the lead up to the AFL season.”

Hawthorn Football Club CEO, Ash Klein, said: “Our members and fans are at the heart of everything we do, so we’re very excited that Full Sweat will give them even greater insight into how we operate as a club.

“We know how much joy our club brings to so many people, and through this documentary we hope it highlights the many things that make Hawthorn great, while making our members and fans proud.”

With an exciting new slate of football shows including The Agenda Setters, Unfiltered, Extra Time, Sunday Footy Feast, The Wash Up and Kane’s Call, Seven has welcomed a group of football’s biggest names to its seven-day-a-week AFL line up in 2025, including Caroline Wilson, Craig Hutchison, Nick Riewoldt, Kane Cornes, Chad Wingard, Rebecca Maddern and Jason Richardson – and welcomed back iconic sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney.

In 2025, for the first time in AFL history, Australians can stream every round of the footy live and free on 7plus Sport, which is delivering unprecedented access to game day action and new programs all season long.
Seven’s AFL match coverage in 2025 includes matches on 23 Thursday nights, 24 Friday nights, State Footy Saturdays, 25 Sunday afternoons, five Sunday nights, plus marquee games and every game in the Finals Series including – exclusive to Seven and 7plus Sport – the Brownlow Medal and the AFL Grand Final. Plus, fans in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia can watch every game involving teams from their home states.

Full Sweat Wednesday, 9.30pm AEDT on Seven and 7plus

This seems to be some new info about the delayed broadcasts and super Saturday

SA & WA:

Market Specifics (Premiership Season Only)
• The first 12 matches played by the South Australian and Western Australian clubs collectively on a Saturday will be available exclusively live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports. These matches, will also be available on the Seven Network and 7plus in South Australia on a delayed basis.
• In 2025, both Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide will have four Saturday matches on a free-to-air delay prior to Round Nine.
• In 2025, both Fremantle and West Coast Eagles will have two Saturday matches on a free-to-air delay prior to Round 9.

NSW & QLD:

Market Specifics (Premiership Season Only)
• A maximum of 24 matches can be played collectively by the Queensland and New South Wales clubs on a Saturday in the first 10 rounds of the season. These Saturday matches will be available exclusively live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports. These matches will also be available on the Seven Network and 7plus in Queensland on a delayed basis.
• In 2025, Brisbane Lions will have four matches and, Gold Coast SUNS will have six Saturday matches on a free-to-air delay prior to Round 11.
• In 2025, GWS GIANTS will have four matches and, Sydney Swans will have three Saturday matches on a free-to-air delay prior to Round 11.

Maximum of 24 matches for NSW & QLD means it can add up to 6 per team. This season it’s 17 matches.

The first 12 matches for SA & WA makes sense as to why they went away from the fixed 3 matches each for those teams. So they could have 1 team with with 9 matches delayed & the rest just 1 each.

This Thursday evening’s Geelong-Brisbane AFL season opener could be fun for both teams and the 7 broadcast team.

TC Alfred is a good chance of impacting Brisbane at the time with 130 km/h+ winds and torrential rain. Fun times!

So do 7 have any spare repeats of Border Security left over from summer :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t worry - it’s not like every episode has already been run so much that the tapes are probably to start wearing out soon

Yep, and just last month they’ve even turned off their remaining 1080p 7plus streams so now you have to watch it in compressed 720p. Ridiculous.
