Given Seven didn’t allow Bruce onto Nine, I guess it would be unlikely. However, since they have no issue with letting Bruce go to the ABC for the games, I reckon Seven might let him do the ABC’s coverage, although it would depend on ABC and Nine striking a deal for LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032, and Bruce didn’t have AFL or Horse Racing commitments while the games were on.

Why push 7+ stream so much - thought the live audience would be priority No. 1.
Unless they think that 7News at 4 & Chase Aus will rate better.

Presumably because most aren’t home at four in the afternoon on a weekday, so I’d say that giving the 7+ screening the biggest push would help people tune in.

Also pushing people so they get used to watching AFL content on 7+. So they will use 7+ next year for AFL and even this year with the Brownlow and the GF

Makes sense as to why 7 had their news already blocked into start at 8pm. If it was a traditional twilight match starting at 4:30-4:45pm, the game would be finished by 7:15-7:30pm

Why is the Saturday game not at 7:30pm?
So Lions can go back to Brisbane on Saturday night. If they win and only go back on Sunday then they have a 6 day break.
Basically this way Friday winner has a 8 day break & Saturday winner has a 7 day break.
If it’s a night game then Friday winner is 8 day while Saturday winner (especially interstate) gets a 6 day break. It’s all about equalisation.

What did they do last year? I think last year was also a 5:15 start to the Brisbane prelim
