He’s a future Bruce or Dennis across all sports so makes sense.
Brian Taylor is a disgrace. He’s openly cheering for St Kilda. What an unprofessional hack.
Sunday morning AFL show on 7 from 2025 - according to Tom Morris
I’m guessing similar to Game Day but not the exact same as it were, like how they brought back Talking Footy but totally different (bar Tim Watson).
Wonder if Hamish McLachlan will still host.
Daisy Thomas will reportedly be a new co-host on Triple M Melbourne’s breakfast slot. I wonder if this will impact his role on Seven’s footy coverage going forward. He might not do Thursday games next season and instead move to special comments on Saturdays or Sundays, perhaps.
Brian Taylor said in the latest episode of his own Life of Brian podcast that he had signed a new five-year deal with Seven. He also commented on the departure of his former boss Lewis Martin.
I am glad to be able to say that I have signed for five years at the Seven Network. So for all those people out there wondering whether you like me or you don’t, bad luck, you’ve got me.
The show with Daisy, Wil and Rosie is only temporary until October when the AFL season finishes. The breakfast slot for 2025 will be announced at a later date.
The crowd audio at the start of the game is different to how it normally sounds
How so?
Did Kate Massey and Mitch Cleary in Seven’s Saturday Night Footy long-running pre/half time/post ‘around the grounds’ live-cross segment “AAMI” Saturday Scoop (formerly “Footy Central” with Basil Zempilas from 2012 - 2016) switch studios at the MCG tonight?
At half time they appeared to be in the traditional MCG TV studio, but just then at post game they were on a different angle and out in the open with the retracted windows in what looked like that new studio (where the host position was earlier in the night - but they’re down in the winners rooms now) as a member exclusively revealed to MS the other day.
Looks like this new studio will be regular, likewise starting AFL on Fridays on main channel at 7pm in Melbourne. Maybe only the likes of Anzac Day, Dreamtime, finals and GF with an on the ground (grass) desk.
I also remember once, they had a “local” Footy Central at the ground when Fremantle played the Geelong Cats at Subiaco Oval in 2014, in what was Matthew Pavlich’s 300th AFL game. On that occasion, Zempilas was not required to travel as Seven did not televise a Saturday afternoon match that day.
Short promo - AFL broadcast brought to you by Coles, manages to include clips that features Cole being advertised on the sideline.
Probably superimposed.
Doesn’t look it. Elsewise would they not do it on the shot with TDK.
Is there going to be issues with graphics, replays etc for 7 with the Microsoft outage issues?
BH and G running tonight in Melbourne - no pre-emption, like the previous 2 weeks.
No problems with graphics so far for tonight’s match. And there is live captioning too.
Probably only doing it when 2 Melb teams are playing
It is one of three Eagles matches to air on delay in FTA in WA this season. First bounce at 11.45am WA time.
By starting the telecast at 3pm however, it will overlap with 7mate’s live coverage of Geelong v Western Bulldogs at 5pm WA time.
