Oh. You make a point there.
Iâve never seen The Fifth Element. Is there any significance to it being shown on a loop on this day?
The movies theme is reptition
Iconic American game show Jeopardy! coming to SBS Viceland starting next week in the 7pm slot replacing Brooklyn Nine Nine.
Iâm excited. Just hope these episodes arenât years old.
Theyâre from 2017.
Anyone know when the Vice deal expires? I feel like it wonât be renewed and will rebrand to SBS2 again.
How does it make sense that Jeopardy is on a channel called Viceland?
How does it make sense that SBS calls its main sub-channel Viceland when they no longer show Vice content? Once the rights with Vice lapse expect Foxtel to pick it up and start its own Viceland channel with 24/7 Vice content.
Australia is the only country left where Viceland remains as a brand. All other countries either abandoned the channel or rebranded to Vice TV earlier in the year.
Whatâs the difference between Viceland and Vice TV? Arenât they the same brand?
yes they are. Both brands are owned by Vice Media.
So will Jeopardy still air on FoxClassics?
Are they also years behind or do they air within weeks/months of the US?
The Jeopardy! episodes currently airing on Fox Classics were screened in the US in May last year.
The Jeopardy! episode on right now is from September 18, 2017.
Still surprised someone hasnât given an Australian version of Taskmaster, Iâm pretty sure an American version was tried, albeit unsuccessfully.
Think itâd fill a nice little spot early in the year before Have You Been Paying Attention commences.
I doubt SBS could stump up the cash for it, unless they did a deal with Foxtel where it showed on Foxtel first, a la Googlebox.
Good to see Taskmaster on free to air, theyâve still got a few series to get through yet!
South Park will now find a new free-to-air home on 10âs new multichannel 10 Shake which is set to launch in metro markets on Sunday, Sept 27.
