At first, i was going to say that it was such a shame that this new basketball preview show is wasted on Saturday mornings on Viceland. Until I read that the NBA match follows. So good choice there as the lead-up to these NBA matches.
Kudos for SBS in having various Australian preview/highlight sports shows throughout the year, like: Courtside (basketball); The World Game (soccer); Cycling Central (cycling) and The Bowls Show (lawn bowls)
SBS has retained broadcast rights to the Kooyong Classic tennis tournament, which will have a new sponsor (emerging renewable energy company AgBioEn) and a redeveloped Kooyong Stadium next year. SBSβ coverage of 2020 Kooyong Classic will be from January 14 to 16. Two players confirmed so far are Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova.
hopefully they are more organised than earlier this year β¦ not surprised that Nine did not take this option.
Nine will have its hands full with Adelaide International and Hobart International in the same week, there is no way it can add Kooyong to its schedule.
They have multiple channels, nothing is impossible. Surely SBS donβt produce the coverage, just add a presenter or two on the ground or in studio for some commentary?
Pretty sure a 3rd party (think it was Jump Media) produced their Kooyong coverage this year
SBS football show The World Game will gain a new NITV version next year. It debuts next Tuesday (December 3) at 1.30pm.
