Cairo, March 2017 - construction workers make a spectacular discovery beneath metres of rubble. At the bottom of a deep pit, buried in mud and debris, lies an enormous crowned stone head.
Nearby the torso and plinth. These are the remains of a colossal quartzite statue, 9 metres high and weighing several tons. It’s an archaeological sensation, a clear indication that this was once the heart of an ancient, legendary metropolis - Heliopolis.
From its Easternmost point of Segedunum, Robson sets off on his 84-mile-long journey in Hadrians footsteps. Along the way he discovers the boyish thrill of geocaching, learns of the Roman Frontiers Las Vegas, Corbridge, and its game-changing finds, and sees how some thrifty neighbours repurposed the wall in Wall for their own needs. He even finds time for a dip in the Tyne near his hometown of Hexham, and a refuel with a classic Northumbrian treat, before burying a little treasure of his own.

SBS decided to repeat the first episode of last season of Who Do You Think You Are? before the new season starts on June 8. This was the episode I missed last year because my PVR wouldn’t record. I watched it and the Kat Stewart episode on SBS on Demand last weekend before that season was withdrawn from streaming this week.
Historian Tracy Borman follows in the footsteps of the second wife of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn on the day of her arrest, May 2nd 1536. Tracking the events, hour by hour, we begin at Anne’s favourite palace in Greenwich, where she’s spending the morning watching a game of real tennis.

Take a look behind the scenes of the most legendary cabaret in the world and hear the story of the artists who define the spirit of the Moulin Rouge. Established in 1889, the Moulin Rouge is known as the birthplace of the can-can dance and is one of Frances most well-known tourist attractions and entertainment venues. Famed for the red windmill on the roof it was immortalised in Baz Luhrmanns famous film and in the paintings of Toulouse-Latrec.

No area is off limits to presenter Rob Bell who lives on board for five days and nights, delving deep into this clandestine world of national security and terrifying weapons. He explores the sonar room, the torpedo bay, the control room and is shown the nuclear missile tubes loaded with deadly warheads.

Australia’s Biggest Singalong just finished (at 10.22pm). I think it went relatively smoothly overall. Throw Your Arms Around Me was the song they sang at the end.
There was only just one technical glitch - when one of the crosses to one of the viewers didn’t work (from the viewers side).
Yes, the beginning was tedious. And audience did look bored at times too. Got a bit better when the musical acts began between the “rehearsals” of the main song.
