That compared to the 2024 overnight average of 4.024 million with a 6.087 million reach when The Lions defeated The Swans.
The Presentations that followed averaged 3.798 m (3.39m in 2024) while the On The Ground rating was 2.968m (2.98m in 2024).
The Pre-Match Entertainment had 1.519 m which compared to 2024’s that had 1.4 million watching (adjusted down from prelim numbers).
The total reach audience for FTA on Saturday was one of the highest of the year at just under 14 million.
Seven’s Post match coverage had 514k (2024 – 384k) while the morning’s Countdown program had 537k (2024 had 504k).
Earlier, Weekend Sunrise averaged 405k then Grand Final Brunch that aired at 9am had 401 k.
Seven News that followed in most markets had 1.93 m to be the highest rated bulletin of 2025 while the first episode of the 2025 season of Healthy, Wealthy & Wise had 628k.
Seven’s movie offering was Die Hard did well to get 366k.
Meanwhile, the afternoon’s Test Rugby with All Blacks V Wallabies averaged 481k on Nine. Later, the NRLW in prime time had 262k with the movie Red Dog just making the top 30 with 150k.
Beyond Paradise was up 60k for ABC with the Beyond Paradise: Christmas Special (2023) on 356k.
Selling Houses Australia was 10’s only prime time entry but the rating of 313k was up 70k week-on-week.
