Sam Pang Tonight

Is the Christmas Tree thing still going to back?

Joel Kim Booster is an American comedian and actor, best known for his role in Loot. He was recently added to the cast for the reboot of Scrubs.

A bigger set, with a bigger studio audience? Going by just by the opening monologue.

Did 10 somehow enlarge the studio at Como?

We could do without the cheap carpet mat from carpet court as part of the set. Looks hideous.

No, they have just changed the presenting area to a 90 degree angle in the studio. Making the set wider in appearance. This is easier to do without The Project being there.

It needs to come from a much larger studio. But 10 just want cough up the money to produce it offsite.

I’m not sure how this works. The dimensions seem much wider. It could be camera angles but I thought the como studios had fairly constrained area. Even how you being paying attention looks small and narrow.

They have a screen on the far right. Maybe they should use that for the monologue as a second presentation area and have the desk and chair in situ for the whole show. The new chair is worse than last season. Can they not buy some classy furniture. They should have two chairs.

No expense spared - nice of Sam’s mum to spare some time out live from the casino gaming floor.

Rosie has been fantastic since being in Oz. So funny and generous with her time.

Sam’s chat with Joel Kim Booster was filmed at the virtual news set.

Interesting they’ve gone down this path with prerecorded interviews. This probably would’ve aired on the project in the past but now they’re using this vehicle to promote overseas shows.

Orange = Studio Audience

Blue = Set Area

First is the original studio setup followed by the new studio setup. Make sense?

Yes thank you. Looks way better this way.

They’re using the third presenting area with this singing news segment. Pretty good.

No Christmas tree this time around to end the show. Pangtasker? Yeah, not that great. Bring back the Christmas tree.

I would like a break from the Christmas tree segment. Too monotonous.

Good show tonight - I managed to sit through the whole thing as the guests were interesting enough. The singing news segment was the highlight.

Opening monologue could have been a bit stronger and overall the show still needs some work to tighten it up as it’s a little awkward still but it’s getting there.

No complaints with the set, looks fine.

Cameo appearance by Tom

“Not so bad in here; better than watching The Logies.”

“Thank God no one’s watching”.

Can channel 10 afford a band or pop star such as Chappell Roan,Benson Boone or Vanessa Amarosi like Roves show,Sunrise,Today and Hey Hey it’s Saturday had also a juggling unicyclist or a contortionist?

Just caught up on 10Play, great return. Pangtasker was mediocre but that set is great. And fantastic use of the virtual set from 10. Excited to see what this show has to come this season.

Much better than last season. Rosie was great as always. Still think this would be better as a late show. Loved the singing news, hope it’s a regular feature. Used to like Ray but his fumbling and mumbling is getting a bit tiresome. Someone like Kitty would have been much better for the opening show of the season.
