So was the theory that they wanted to make people tune in to the show to find out who’s on, and then they hope since people have already started watching that they keep watching?
Odd approach if that’s what they were going for originally, and glad they realised it’s better to promote the guests as that’s more likely to get people watching (if they’re big name guests people are interested in).
They isn’t the space, they need a bigger studio that’s what is holding it back, the audience needs to hold at least 280 for a show like this, Not the 100 or so that can fit in there.
There also needs space for his monologue, bands to play and the show to breathe. These shows have never been filmed like this before, the smallest studio I can recall is Craig Ferguson’s and even his was about 3xlarger.
I would say this week’s episode has been worse than last week’s was, Sam is more nervous and is stumbling his words, Kitty is carrying tonight and Felix was a good guest. Not as many laughs from the cutaway clips
Yes, Sam does seem to get nervous at times and stumbles a lot.
Perhaps the show would work better if the announcer/comedian joins Sam at the desk after the first commercial break for the first interview.
Then they stay in a chair beside him for the rest of the show, even with any other guest being interviewed. Felix was a great guest but having Kitty interject made that an even better segment.
