Rugby World Cup 2019

Didn’t the ten press release say they’ll be on the ground in Japan or will it be very cheap coverage hosted out of Sydney and called off a monitor?

Network 10 will be on the ground in Japan for the whole tournament, with host Scott Mackinnon and Sports Tonight’s Roz Kelly reporting all the news, colour and fun of the Cup across all of our platforms.

This is the FTA breakdown for New Zealand on the TVNZ Website.

I would have thought that New Zealand matches would be live. Seems strange that they are not live.

Spark Sport (online streamer) has the rights to live games.

It’s in Spark’s interest for TVNZ not to air those matches live because it forces people to get a Spark Sport pass

Fox Sports will show seven RWC warm-up matches across three channels this weekend, including Australia v Samoa this Saturday night.

10Bold’s schedule for opening night of the tournament (September 20) was released today. Pre-match will be shown at 8pm AEST, followed by the opening match between Japan and Russia at 8.45pm AEST. It will be shown live nationwide.

I thought you mean September 20 as the RWC2019 tournament commences In Japan.

Yes, fixed the date.

Who’s going to supply the graphics for the RWC2019 on TEN?

It would be the world feed.

I think it would be best for a commentator to call the match in the TEN’s studios (either in Sydney or Melbourne) to reduce the cost of flying. As well, 10 out of 48 matches will be shown on either 10 or 10Bold. Having 10 matches on FTA is much cheaper than having many knock-out games live. People can also stream the match via 10play.

I think not. Why do they need to reduce costs. When they last covered a World Cup in France they had all hostings and commentary from France. It adds authenticity and credibility.

Not sure what you’re going on about here. Nonsense.
