I assume they’ve done it in conjunction with Nine.
No kickoff time as yet so they could play it Sunday 5pm in Perth for a 7pm-ish kickoff AEST, or maybe the NRL will revert back to Fri/Sat.
I’ve noticed Moana Pasifika are on Shaky Financial Ground following a Refusal to pay NZ$600,000 to take a Game to Tonga for the Second Year in a Row, I believe the Super Rugby shall feature 10 Teams from 2027 or 2028.
I don’t think there’s a long future for Super Rugby in its current form. No one can compete with New Zealand rugby as it stands. Australian rugby is a dumpster fire, and everywhere else…need to keep Australia and New Zealand from claiming their up and comers as their own.
Three Australian teams beat NZ based teams this weekend.
They did? What the hell happened?
The Tahs had the bye, thus why I wasn’t paying attention.
But my point stands. Do the NZ teams rate the Aussie and other teams?
They should now. It’s been clear removing the Rebels has tightened up the player pool in Australia for the better and we are seeing the fruits of that this year. The Waratahs should be a decent shot at beating the Hurricanes this week too.
I tend to agree about Super long term, 10/11 teams is not ideal for a multi-country competition but this year at least it seems like it will be a good competition.
France have won back-to-back Six Nations championships after a thrilling two-point win over England in Paris, in the final match of the tournament. Ireland had earlier defeated Scotland 43-21 in Dublin to top the standings and retain the Triple Crown, however France’s 48-46 triumph saw them overtaking the Irish by one point on the table.
The defeat also meant England suffered their worst ever Six Nations campaign with just one win from five matches, finishing second last on the table ahead of Wales, who ended their 15-match losing streak with a 31-17 victory over Italy in Cardiff.
The HSBC SVNS Series concluded today. Australia clinched bronze for men (after losing 3rd place playoff to Argentina) and silver for women (after losing the final by a point).
The gold medallists were South Africa and New Zealand respectively.
Note: there is a typo in the final paragraph which means to say tickets are now on general sale. Tickets to the Wallabies matches in July are now available at Ticketmaster (for Sydney and Perth matches) or Ticketek (for Brisbane match). Tickets for the November finals weekend are on sale at Ticketmaster UK.

: Moana Pasifika to disband at the end of the 2026 SRP season.
New Zealand women’s team defeated Australia in the Hong Kong Sevens final last night to achieve a four-peat.
In the men’s competition, Australia finished in sixth place, while South Africa won their first HK title, beating defending champions Argentina 35-7 in the decider.
The Crusaders defeated the Waratahs 35-20 in the first ever match in the One NZ Stadium.
That’ll leave 10 Sides, All of tho Australian and New Zealand Sides from the Original Super 12 Era, Western Force from the Super 14 Expansion and Fijian Drua, the Most Recent Addition.
