Shouldn’t the Magic Round be shared around major towns around NSW?
God damn these friggin deals.
Great 1st half from the Blues!
But as we know, QLD can certainly mount a comeback … definitely not out of it a 18-4 down at HT.
Blues are on FIRE tonight
Maroons can’t work out how to kick a conversion lol
Bostock, Tedesco ruled out due to Head Injury Assessment failing
A few brawls aswell tonight ![]()
Good game though, didn’t think NSW would win it before kick off.
Payne Haas to be Wally Lewis medallist I think.
The final score was NSW 30 - QLD 12. Tonight’s crowd was 52,452.
NSW won the State of Origin decider in Brisbane for the second time in three years.
The Wally Lewis Medallist is Nathan Cleary.
Earlier…
NEVER IN DOUBT
NSW DOES WHAT QUEENSLANDON’T
Rob Brough’s son Tyson to achieve NRL dream after family heartbreak
The son of a veteran Channel 7 news anchor will achieve his “lifelong dream” this weekend as he takes control of an NRL game for the first time.
The Sunshine Coast & Gympie League Referees Association announced their member Tyson Brough, son of beloved anchor Rob Brough, would be officiating the Melbourne Storm vs. Gold Coast Titans match on July 12 at AAMI Park.
Tyson’s sister, Jess Willmott, tragically died on February 5 after spending four-and-a-half years battling both breast cancer and an aggressive brain cancer.
Rob Brough and the rest of his family will be heading to Melbourne to support Tyson, along with some of his close friends.
What a great game. After the 2Nd Origin Game, the media thought that Blues were written off, but tonight they fought back and the Origin shield heads to NSW hands.
Let’s all laugh at Queensland. ![]()
“And the Bunker says…”
State of Origin kicked off with another anthem blunder at the decider after singer Emma Tomlinson was stitched up by apparent technical problems at Suncorp Stadium.
The backing track paused briefly just seconds in, and the issues became clear when Tomlinson began singing out of time with the music.
Tomlinson’s make-up — donning blue on one and maroon on the other — also didn’t go unnoticed.
Tomlinson, who has autism and is an ambassador for Autism Queensland, had earlier celebrated her rise from being bullied to singing the anthem in front of Australia.
The Telstra bungle related or separate gremlins in the system?
UPDATE
Tedesco and Bostock will both now be stood down for 11 days under the NRL’s concussion protocols. Cruelly for the Roosters and Dolphins, they both play two games in that 11-day window.
It means Tedesco won’t play for the Roosters until Round 21, while Bostock won’t be back until Round 22 because the Dolphins have a bye in Round 21. Both clubs can apply for an exemption, as Manly successfully did with Tolu Koula after State of Origin 1.
Worth mentioning QLD are calling the game rigged
When literally NSW were gonna win the series anyway
QLD can’t accept NSW was the better side just because of a call by Klein ![]()
Of course they did. Queensland are more in denial than fish in that Egyptian river. ![]()
I knew you would be over the moon.
66-0? All I can say is wow.
