Good news that they are making the announcements earlier this time, compared to last year when it was only announced in October i think.

Good luck getting that from this state government. All the wage raises for us public sector employees have really taken a toll, but then, blame the previous Liberalstate goverment for putting pressure on wages.

The NRL really need to stop this obsession with moving back to suburbian grounds. A lot of these areas are in poor locations public transport wise, parking you can forget about it, and it;ll take a lot to bring them up to an acceptable standard.

I think North Sydney Oval is ideal for an upgrade. It already hosts a number of sports including rugby union, AFLW and WBBL cricket. It is adjacent to the busy Warringah Freeway (which itself is being upgraded) and is close to public transport: Victoria Cross Metro station is just one block away.

Indeed. Will give us more time to get the money together

NSW have won the Women’s State of Origin series for the first time in three years, beating Queensland 26-6 in game 2 at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium tonight, in torrential rain. It follows the Blues’ 32-12 victory over the Maroons in game one in Brisbane.

*under the three-game format. They have won the shield 5 times previously.

At this rate I’m convinced the Knights would lose to the bye.

They were awful. Seems like the only team why Adam O’Brien doesn’t get sacked is that they’d have to pay him out $2 mil since he’s contracted until end of 2027.

As a Newcastle Knights fan i am still apparently fuming about why the club didn’t go for Ex-Wigan Warriors head coach and current England head coach Shaun Wane in 2019 after how CEO Phil Gardner horribly handled Nathan Brown’s departure that year.

Have heard a rumour of there being an emergency meeting at Knights HQ on Monday morning.

I have said until i am blue in the face. I thought the Wests Group were more professional than this. Only upside is Gardener is on the way out

You could launch a GoFundMe in Newcastle to raise the $2 million and you’d fund it, and then some in 15 minutes.

As much as AOB is being found out as a coach with some shortcomings, the players have to shoulder some of the blame. The term “over-paid heifers” comes to mind.

Something’s going to have to give. If AOB is around any longer, and they keep playing like they are, people won’t go to games. People won’t get memberships, the merch, etc. We’ll be stuck with 6pm Friday games. So on.

We don’t want to be the new Wests Tigers in terms of stupidity - we’d be competing with the Newcastle Jets! Who are actually run by ex-Tigers people!

As long as the Wests Group think they’re an NSL club (with all the trappings that entails - there’s a reason we had the Crawford Report), things won’t change. You can’t run any professional franchise like a old boys club.

That Sharks v Storm game was a cracker… even better that the result went the Sharks way 31-26

Why do I try and tip games this season… Storm are supposed to be unbeatable most of the time.

But have only won 6 from 10 this year, yet still Top 4.

Kind of seems like a pretty even comp, but yet I think its a three horse race… Bulldogs, Storm or Sharks to be 2025 Premiers. Warriors and Raiders are smokies.

Good win Sharkies.

Awful first half performance from our lot set us back. Our best this year is really good but just can’t get the consistency we need.
