Unless Penriff and the Sharkies pull out all the stops, and/or England pull off an upset of the Jillaroos, and/or @Radiohead gets out the “antenna” and streaks on the field at any point, there will be 4 blowouts. Great advertisements there.
I hope the Knights choose not to send our boys there any time soon.
As I checked the scores, it was England’s heaviest defeat in a Women’s Rugby League International game. Australia piled on a 90 point rout over England before England scored a consolidated try in the final minutes of the game in Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas. Why is it so hard for England Women to beat Australia in a Rugby League game?
A fair waste of time - for all the talk of the “great atmosphere” from the Fox commentary team it has felt incredibly flat (not helped by the quality/closeness of games before the last one).
45k is not a great crowd - whatever way you shake it. And the predictions of 50k plus pre event look not great in retrospect.
Indeed, I’m not convinced the game needs to go to Vegas, but if it can deliver a crowd number that will only be beaten a handful of times in the regular season it’s not hard to see why the game will continue the folly.
Great defence by the Panthers to prevent two Sharks tries in the final five minutes - the first which would’ve seen the Sharks take the lead, and the second to potentially force golden point.
In between, the Panthers scored the match-winner to get their premiership defence off to a good start - 28-22.
