Rugby League

There - fixed it.

Unless Penriff and the Sharkies pull out all the stops, and/or England pull off an upset of the Jillaroos, and/or @Radiohead gets out the “antenna” and streaks on the field at any point, there will be 4 blowouts. Great advertisements there.

I hope the Knights choose not to send our boys there any time soon.

That would be another blow-out if i did that!

We can call you Mr Methane.

3 from 3 blowouts (unless England pulls their fingers out). Great advertisement of the game to the Yanks.

Thats a decent seat

It is… but I figured no point coming all this way to buy cheap seats.

Still cost about $440 each AUD. Stadium probably about half full, maybe a bit less.

A “nail-biting” match between the Jillaroos and England, with the Aussies winning 90-4 (England scored their try in the dying seconds of the match)

Next year, the English are banned.

As I checked the scores, it was England’s heaviest defeat in a Women’s Rugby League International game. Australia piled on a 90 point rout over England before England scored a consolidated try in the final minutes of the game in Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas. Why is it so hard for England Women to beat Australia in a Rugby League game? :frowning:

They were only 87 points away from winning. Shouldn’t be too disconsolate.

Good game this at 12-10 at half time, Sharkies right up for it… that kick out after the 1st Penrith try on the full hurt them though.

Give us a wave. We can’t see you in Channel Nine’s coverage

A lot of empty seats again this year … wonder what the crowd will be.

Official crowd just over 45K.

A fair waste of time - for all the talk of the “great atmosphere” from the Fox commentary team it has felt incredibly flat (not helped by the quality/closeness of games before the last one).

45k is not a great crowd - whatever way you shake it. And the predictions of 50k plus pre event look not great in retrospect.

Not sure I agree with this - outside of finals, it will be one of the best attended sets of games for the year.

Which is an indictment on the entire competition, frankly.

Indeed, I’m not convinced the game needs to go to Vegas, but if it can deliver a crowd number that will only be beaten a handful of times in the regular season it’s not hard to see why the game will continue the folly.

Great defence by the Panthers to prevent two Sharks tries in the final five minutes - the first which would’ve seen the Sharks take the lead, and the second to potentially force golden point.

In between, the Panthers scored the match-winner to get their premiership defence off to a good start - 28-22.

A long way for @Radiohead to go to experience a loss!

Oh well, a trip to the Heart Attack Grill may be just the tonic.
