Now that 7QLD has gotten the old Brisbane desk, this must be the oldest desk still in use in Australia?

I think we calculated that desk has been used since 2008.

For what it’s worth, I think today’s telethon has been good.
Larry steers the ship so bloody well, an absolute natural pro at this and worth every cent of the big bucks he’s earning at the network
I thought he was good tonight on the GFA

Larry is saving it from being a total disaster. Such a professional, among the low frills production. I moan about it year on year, but then it’s also probably rose coloured glasses. But I loved the older format (9:30-10:00am start. Panel’s all day, reading donations every so often etc).
This has been a wild ride, panel rotation multiple times an hour lol.

Needs to return to the convention centre, or at least a studio where they can have a large audience

Returning to Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is a great idea, given it hosts the Big Day Out during the day of the appeal.
However, it means the tally room will need to move out of the theatre (Plenary?) to another part of MCEC.

I thought they use to have it all in the Plenary to begin with, judging by earlier caps from previous years.
