The Edge sounds like they are running on a backup stream as there on-air sound is like a 96kbps MP3 stream. Maybe storm related?
Iâve noticed recently that C91.3âs news is now sponsored by Ten, whereas it was previously Nine News for many years.
The news intro goes: âChannel 10, proud supporter of Macarthurâs C91.3. C91.3 Newsâ.
Kind of makes sense, considering that WIN (the owner of the station) is Tenâs regional affiliate. Also, Ten, along with C91.3, has sponsored local events such as this yearâs Feast Campbelltown & the Fisherâs Ghost Festival, the latter which used to be sponsored by Nine in past years.
Are they the only market promoting 10 as opposed to WIN?
Yes, considering that C91.3âs licence area is entirely within the Sydney TV licence area, and doesnât fall within the Southern NSW TV licence area.
The EDGE is still sounding low quality on-air, I wonder if they are aware of it.
I did hear on-air Mike E mentioning he was using new systems so Iâm not sure if thatâs contributing to the audio.
I contacted The Edge and they told me that they recently upgraded their systems and are tweaking their on-air sound hence the change in audio sound. I was sound almost normal this morning.
92.7 Mix FM on the Sunshine Coast is doing their â1200 Songs of Summerâ, which started on Boxing Day.

I wonder why 1200? Whatâs the significance of that? There doesnât appear to be any mention of why on their website.
I was kind of expecting (hoping?) a station to do the âEssential Twenty20â countdown (2,020 songs) similar to what Triple M had back in the mid late 00s. Would have been a nice tie in with the BBL Cricket too.
Sea FM on the Sunshine Coast is introducing its local drive program to be presented by Elly & Becks, commencing from Monday 3rd February.

Former Channel 9 Perth personality and singer Louise Anton is now heard on weekends on 91.7 The Wave in Mandurah. Louise also appeared on The Voice a few years ago.
The same Louise Anton that teamed up with Danielle Gaha as the Nissan Cedricâs duo on Club Buggery back in the 90âs on the ABC?
Yeah thatâs her. I think sheâs on Saturdayâs and Sundayâs on The Wave.
Also noted on 91.7 The Wave - SCAsâ My Generation has been dropped from the line up. Usually gets 3 runs a week - Saturday at 4, Sunday at 4 and Iâve heard it on one of the graveyard shifts, but not recently. Shame, fits the station well but I guess it is already broadcast on Mix 94.5 and Triple M Southwest.
Apart from outsourced news bulletins, this now makes The Wave 100% local and independent. And doing a very good job at it.
Im pretty sure My Generation has been axed.
I think youâre right. No new podcast episodes since last year⌠little bit of activity on their Facebook wall though and an active page on the Triple M site. Damn same - I liked that show.
And now Lawrence Mooneyâs show is taking its place on Sundays.
So a music based show gets axed and replaced with another Sydney breakfast show best of
Ally Redondo, who did traffic reports on Sydney stations (inc C91.3) during afternoons, has taken over as the new drive presenter for C91.3 in Campbelltown, replacing Josh Webster. She had been filling in for Lyndal Rogers (now i98 Mornings) on breakfast with Josh in 2018 when she was on maternity leave.

Move FM/2LT really need to invest in more announcers, they have one guy who voice tracks all day on both Move & 2LT.
Sea FM Sunshine Coast no longer taking Carrie and Tommy as of today and doing drive locally.
