I think that will be the answer for 95% of questions in this thread between now and then
Between Coolah and Merriwa. Everything in-between (re-transmitters) is either NBN and ABC.
Its possible to get SNSW from Gunnedah and even Tamworth (on the eastern/high side of town), best spot to get both would be between Coonabarabran and Narrabri.
Yes just west of Gunnedah to Coonabarabran. Baradine & the Pilliga up to just short of Narrabri.
Plus there’s also a minor overlap between Mt Dowe and Goondiwindi and Southern Downs around the North Star region
And in many regional markets, not just TV, but that would have extended to Radio as well.
Back in the analog days I definately could get SNSW in Tamworth - havent tried in the digital era
yep…
but wasnt it reported that win needs to keep the 9 branding?
I know, WIN will probably not use solid watermarks for Nine multichannels.
That’s the assumption, but to date there isn’t anything that clearly states the WIN brand as a channel is being retired. Nine’s press release states WIN will be carrying Nine, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be rebadged as WIN. It also states WIN will promote Nine’s assets in their regions, but this could mean Nine’s online assets being promoted during commercial breaks for all we know. Kevin Perry has said it will be Nine, but again, he could just be going off the Nine press release.
I’d say it’s more a case of
Being replaced by
9Go! is likely to remain the same with just the 10 channels changing watermark.
I was really referring to the WIN channel number, Peach being replaced with Go!.
I was thinking more like a solid coloured logo, possibly with the WIN logo covering the dots…
Don’t give Bruce ideas!

I am a bit conflicted on this watermark thing…I know it looks terrible however, if WIN want to brand their product and remove the supplier I kind of think that’s OK.
For example we wouldn’t accept too many other products with the contents manufacturers being listed.
Lets take this refreshing Cascade Pale Ale I am enjoying, would we accept a listing on the front label similar to this: Hop supplied by Hop Products Australia, Sugar supplied by CSR, Water Supplied by TasWater?
We accept that its a Cascade branded beer, the ingredients to get that outcome are not really a concern.
I think its the same for WIN, its WIN content the second Nine sell it to WIN, so why wouldn’t they want to rebrand it?
I get their efforts are clumsy, but we must also recognize, unless we are advertising on WIN we pay how much again to watch it?? Ahhh Nothing…
If it was clean & unobtrusive I doubt many would complain; it’s the huge, bright & solid things in the corner which are obnoxious.
And to take your analogy a bit further, it’s not ingredients, more like if I went to the local car dealer and they’d covered up the manufacturer’s logos on the cars they sell, as if the dealer had made the cars; they’re not building anything, just reselling someone else’s product.
I was going to go with car dealers…but I had just cracked another Pale, so went with that!
If WIN want to properly rebrand the channels, then they should insist on the source network providing clean feeds, and use those clean feeds (as Prime7 does), but old Bruce seems to like the irritating solid cover-ups.
