Or to fit in 9Life prior to August 1?
Simplest would be swap the 9 and Gem bits around, and flip Gem to MPEG-2 HD, perhaps with a few extra bits from 80.
Unlike MPEG-4 HD, MPEG-2 HD is nearly universal, and it seems to have worked fine for Seven Queensland and now some of the solus/jv channels WIN operate.
Kinda surprised that there’s no Extra unlike that tiny extension period last time - maybe that was the main concession back from Nine to WIN?
As expected.
Are WIN doing any specific promos for NNSW yet?
Good to see they’ve got something on air. Hopefully they’re airing this on the main channel where more people are likely to see it.
Mildura is a bit of a dogs breakfast…as usual.
5 and 50 are both 10 HD, first time having both WIN and 10 in HD in Mildura…surely a Shake or 9Life could fill channel 5??? Most likely not though.
Bold and Peach are there but guide not accurate.
WIN HD is quite spectacular.
Gem and Go are now both SD so lost a HD channel.
No 9LIFE or 10 Shake.
Ch 83 is Sky News on WIN.
There isn’t two 10 HD’s. Think of 5 as a shortcut to 50. Both channels point to the same service. But I agree, there is room for 10 Shake if WIN wanted to renegotiate with 10. By August 1st, I’d say Sky News Regional will stay on 10’s station and be removed from Nine/WIN.
That’s the plan for SA at least.
Currently sitting on 83 and 54. Moving to 53 from August
Ahh, I’m getting my solus and JV markets mixed up. Yeah, that’s right for the solus markets. Not sure what’s going to happen in Mildura and WA then.
The Ayr thing is a bit on a in joke around here.
@Willwalk It’s near Townsville.
SCA have updated the coverage map on their website to cover Network 10 areas.
This is a article full of error. I wish to state that the 7 network does provide local news bulletins to regional Queensland https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-01/regional-tv-changes-win-nine-southern-cross-austereo-vic-qld/100258412?fbclid=IwAR2LWjJ2OY7BFnlLx5VVaXwijyfH87Jclz0XaNXzr6rbbHi8LPTBR9kA73o
Since been rectified in the linked story.
Though there appears to be a mistake as Roma, Dalby, Warwick and Stanthorpe are marked on one of the maps as being ‘radio only’, but they are all within SCA’s television licence areas.
That document refers to SGT, presumably standing for Spencer Gulf Television. Don’t think that is a real acronym?
I wish to clarify, that Roma, Taroom and Charleville are not in the darling down television area They receive the eastern remote tv channels of 7 central, 10 central and Imparja
Not sure about the rest of NNSW, but WIN Newcastle or 10 Newcastle, with the exception of local ads, now seems to be a straight copy of TEN Sydney, I didn’t see any WIN News noodle updates last night, the noodle updates were directly TEN Sydney ones read by Sandra Sully.
I’m not sure why you needed to clarify anything.
