The Seven Network won its third straight Tuesday overnight ratings while 10’s MasterChef again dominated the entertainment titles.
ABC was the big improver posting its best Tuesday share in five weeks while of the commercials 10 improved slightly while Seven and Nine edged lower. Nine won a very close contest in Melbourne (Nine 24.4%, Seven 24.3%, 10 22.3%) while Seven won the other markets. 10 placed second in Perth.
In the key 25-54 age bracket Seven had 29.3%, 10 26.8%, Nine 23.5%, ABC 13.6% and SBS 6.8%.
In the younger 16-39 group Seven had 30.2%, 10 28.8%, Nine 21.4%, ABC 13.5% and SBS 6.0%. 10 Peach was the top rated multichannel in both key demo groups.
MasterChef continued its run winning at 7.30pm as well as topping the key demo groups by a large margin. Last night’s audience was slightly up on the previous Tuesday as well as Monday’s numbers. Seven’s Big Brother ranked second in total people and demos despite losing audience from the previous Tuesday. Nine’s 7.30 offering Paramedics improved its result week-on-week.
Meanwhile, ABC’s Foreign Correspondent recorded a season high while 10’s How To Stay Married finished a successful season, doing best in 16-39 where it ranked fourth for the night.
Other post-8.30 shows were RBT on Nine in 23rd place with 340,000 and Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back on Seven in 30th place with 244,000. An NCIS repeat on 10 was 32nd with 242,000.
SBS’s Who Do You Think You Are? ranked 24th this week with 291,000.
