The Seven Network recorded its fourth overnight win of the week, though the results were very different to the previous Thursday without AFL. Some consolation, however, for Nine with the number one main channel for the night with one of its best Thursday shares since Easter.
Nine won Sydney with 31.7% and Brisbane with 31.6% while Seven won Melbourne (29.8%), Adelaide (29.3%) and Perth (37.2%). In Perth, 10 ranked second with 19.6%.
In the key demos, Nine won 25-54 with 28.2% from Seven (26.6%), 10 (25.6%), ABC (12.3%) and SBS (7.3%) while 10 won 16-39 with 27.5% from Nine (27.2%), Seven (25.4%), ABC (13.4%) and SBS (6.5%).
MasterChef was the top entertainment show and topped the demos. Home and Away did better than usual on a Friday with The Front Bar also up on recent numbers.
Q+A made a rare top 20 appearance, even with last week as Foreign Correspondent was on a season high.
