The Nine Network was back on top of Monday night’s ratings with its best share for four weeks.
After receiving a boost from the launch of Big Brother last Monday, Seven’s share dropped three share points back to its Monday average. Over at 10, the network scored its equal highest Monday share of the 2020 survey.
Nine again won all markets except Perth where Seven was on top while 10 placed second again in Melbourne. 10 was the top rated network in the younger demographic groups with its best result in 16-39 where it was nine points clear.
In 25-54, 10 had 29.1% of the audience ahead of Nine with 27.9%, Seven 25.6%, ABC 11.5% and SBS 5.7%.
In 16-39, 10’s share lifted to 34.7% with Seven on 25.6%, Nine 24.5%, ABC 10.5% and SBS 4.7%.
For the second night in a row MasterChef was the top rated entertainment show, posting its highest Monday audience since the show launched nine weeks ago. The Voice was a close second also improved with its best result for three weeks. Big Brother slipped again to its lowest result so far.
In the key advertising demographic of 25-54 year-olds MasterChef ranked first with The Voice third and Big Brother fourth. Have You Been Paying Attention? ranked second and was the other stand out performer of the night.
Meanwhile, ABC’s titles Back Roads and Four Corners improved on last Mondays performance. However, the network was down almost three points on its Monday average as Q&A recorded its lowest audience of this year with just 242,000.
