A tad absurd, but not surprising from Molk.

Another farewell tour?

The ASX share market was hit by a technical fault twice today and was closed after 2pm = :rage: Traders

I’ve had many public embarrassing situations in recent years due to now having a disability that requires me to use a wheelchair.Yesterday afternoon while in my local supermarket l attempted to do a little shopping by myself ,well that was another big mistake.Unfortunately a 2 litre bottle of orange juice l reached up to grab from the shelve spilled all over me and my chair, with a lot of people around l was so embarrassed. So many fellow shoppers just stared at me and a couple of kids just walked passed laughing.l immediately called out to a worker who was down the end of the aisle who said he would go and get some help.Luckly for me quite a few elderly shoppers tried to assist me the best way they could one sweet lady even tried to dry me off with her scarf the worker returned some 15 minutes later and of course by this time l was a sticky mess.l was taken out to the stores toilets where two nice blokes tried to clean me up and dry my chair for which l was very grateful to them. But in all this turmoil somehow my wallet and house keys were stolen, the police were called and they checked the stores camera footage but the cameras where the incident happened were not bloody working ! To cut a long story short the police officers were going to drive me home,so here l was with two police officers escorting me out of the store with shoppers staring at me obviously thinking l had committed a criminal offence.l was more upset by this than having my wallet stolen. The moral of this story is that some bastard stole my wallet and keys while l was in this state,l have experienced many acts of human kindness to me over the years.
But yesterday was a terrible day for me and l know lam lucky still, because lots of people experience a lot worse crimes in our society on a daily basis.

that’s awful, I hope they catch whoever stole your belongings, and the staff should have acted more quickly.

Terrible form show by the passerby’s there. Kinda losing my faith in humanity at the moment!

That’s terrible.

@Salty this sort of behaviour just breaks my heart. Honestly. I truly lose my faith in humanity when I hear stories like this. I am sorry to hear about your story and if you ever feel like a vent its great to know you have a place like this to do that. It always makes me so angry when I am on a bus or a train and see no one pass up a seat to someone who needs it, or when you see someone who needs some help not to offer it. People need to work together to make the world a better place to live in. Not think someone is less than another or your too good for someone else, or for fucks sake laugh at someone who is clearly in a state of distress. And for some scum then to steal from you when you are at your lowest just makes me the maddest. I love your positive attitude but you are allowed to be upset and angry because a problem and a terrible day is still exactly that and the only way to get through that is to talk about it and discuss. Sorry for my rant.

Spot the image on the TV?

Maybe next time.

I was looking at a preview clip of an upcoming Australian series and within about a minute of it starting I was looking a the filming location on Google Street View thanks to a phone number on a shop window.

It made me think of the US where there are allocated fictional phone numbers for TV and movies. I guess they think that someone is really going to try to call Central Perk so it better not be to an actual business. NOt sure why there isn’t the same system in AUS - or is there?

There are phone numbers set aside for movies and fake numbers here I thought?

There’ shouldn’t need to be fake phone numbers.

Just make them seven or nine digits long, instead of eight?

I remember years ago in Prisoner they used to have telephone numbers beginning with 1 which wasn’t (and still isn’t) a valid local prefix.

How was everyone’s weekend? Terrible back burning near me.

No such thing here living in the suburbs!
