Are you sure the phone call wasn’t from the real bank?
No it definitely wasn’t ,when I spoke to someone at the call centre of my bank and told them the guy’s name they said he wasn’t one of their employees
I just don’t get understand why the scammers would call you to tell you that you’ve been scammed.
They definitely do that. I’ve had similar calls but they come up as Suspected Spam calls on my phone. The person on the other end says your account has been compromised and can you log onto this website blah blah blah. That’s when I start laughing at them and they hang up on me.
Well I know that but some people can easily be tricked.
It’s part of their scam.
To trick you to give them your details. It has happened to lots of people and some have learnt hard lessons from it.
Like cyber hacks. They have goal in mind get the days and ransome it hoping someone or an organisation will pay up.
These people are evil and do harm to those who they know are vulnerable. This has been a problem on going for years , is this a surprise to you? I’d be interested to know.
Yeah, I’m aware of that but she didn’t give them her details. That’s what Karen is saying. So if they got them another way why did they bother calling her.
I feel like you guys aren’t understanding what I’m saying.
I’m not going to do online banking anymore.I can ring a number to check my balance and all recent transactions from my bank account,
Now I don’t have a debit card ,very inconvenient as I’m used to paying for everything with it😕I’ve destroyed the one I had. They have to send a new one and I won’t receive it for another week.In the meantime I have to go into a bank branch and withdraw cash ,show ID as proof of who I am
Probably late to the party here but I’ve only just started to get the hawk tuah girl on the socials
I wouldn’t say that’s a good thing. Prob better for your brain cells that you didn’t come across it.
I’ve recently added a new role as an RSPCA volunteer.Today I started as a wildlife driver driving one of their vehicles(a Hyundai Staria van)about 50 kms to release a magpie back into the wild . I went out with another driver last week to see exactly what wildlife drivers have to do.This role also involves picking up injured birds or other wildlife from vet clinics and transporting them back to the RSPCA wildlife hospital,or delivering animals or birds to foster carers.
Later on as the weather warms up and breeding season starts there will be more injured birds or animals that need transporting to the wildlife hospital.
I’ll need to have a tetanus shot if I’m going to be doing this from now on in case I ever get bitten,so far I’m doing this Sunday mornings
I had another shift today driving an RSPCA van , I had to deliver 4 baby ringtail possums to a wildlife carer,it was about a 2 hour round trip there and back .
I’m pleased with myself that I didn’t damage their van this time either
Did you say hello to them?
(channelling my inner Dame Edna there).
No I didn’t,they were sleeping ,all wrapped up in their little pouches in boxes
Should Victoria follow NSW by ordering public servants back to the office?
As someone who has to be on-site, I appreciate more people working from home making it easier for us.
Does anyone see or have seen a therapist regularly?
Yes I see a Psychotherapist every fortnight.
I need to book another appointment with mine but yep, I have been plenty of times and have been on several mental health plans. Thankfully, there’s a lot less stigma associated with that and any other types of counselling or mental health awareness which is great.
Whatever helps you get through life as successfully as you can is always worth it.
I haven’t seen a psychologist for a few years ,since I left my last job I’m not as stressed anymore.I’m still on my anti anxiety medication, though,it helps me cope with everyday life.
