ATTACK OF THE CROWN: SYDNEY
obligatory 9QLDās āFacts not FEARā slogan
A population control advisory.
And if you run out of face masks, you can put the condoms over your head instead.
This is now prohibited in South Australia for the moment. If the SA government can temporarily ban Hookah because of concerns it may spread COVID-19, why not ban it due to concerns it causes cancer and other health problems?
Because COVID causes a potentially life threatening illness to others, whereas as smoking only mostly impacts on you (it would need to be prolonged passive smoking to cause a long term illness to others).
A local fish n chip place (regional ) is advertising cheap Tuesday deal , 3 pieces of mackerel, 5 calamari rings, 1.25l coke and 2 scoops of chips for $50.
I know fish isnāt cheap in Australia but that seems a rip off .
I looked at their menu online and added it up individually and it came to around $41 .
This place always thinks it can charge a fortune they were selling quiches for $20 not that long ago.
That is an absolute rip-off.
Cheap Tuesday at my local fish and chips is $7.40 for a standard serve of fish and chips - add the calamari rings and the coke and thatās less than $30.
Alarm bells right there.
Sounds like something I could imagine seeing as a report one night on A Current Affair!
Good grief Fish and Chips should be like a classic item that always stays around a consistent price range.
This place sounds like one of those fast food outlets with overpriced food and drinks.
Something does indeed sound very fishy hereā¦
Thanks everyone, Iām here till Thursday, try the quiche!
Iām only 4km from that shop my local one is $30 for 2 of us. Red Emperor is $10 each/ chips $4.50 a serve so $30 at my local fish n chip shop. This is Yeppoon though. Still seems expensive?
If i go into the centre of town in Yeppoon it works out about $27, the fish is $9 and chips $4.50 per person.
That Fish n Chip shop is only 4km from me , their Red Emperor is $14 and Barramundi $17, Mackerel $8.50 they moved up here from regional NSW and took over the business a couple of years back
Hereās their prices , zoom in to see it clearer.
Yes was about to post that lol.
How big is a serve?
Are you far inland? Is it fresh mackerel? Iām really at a loss as to how they could justify this price.
