I’ve seen this a lot in Germany. (The gladwrap over the microphone) I get that it’s because of COVID, but what difference does it make. It just looks pretty shit.

Presumably they remove & re-wrap before/when the next person gets that mic… but is it completely encased?
(I’ve never tried to use a mic covered like that…) how much of the sound would be blocked/muffled, and does it sound distorted at all?
